Say It LOUD Scotland!
Scene Radio is Scotland’s Diversity station.
Scene Radio has bubbled away quietly over the last two years and has achieved a fair amount. Scene Radio has been present and broadcast live from more prides than any other Scottish based radio station. Scene Radio has supported and broadcast from The Icon Awards 2017, Bi-Polar Scotland’s Birthday Celebration 2017, West Lothian Pride 2017 and Fife Pride 2017.
With The Glasgow Gay Venue Staff Awards 2018 and the launch of East Lothian’s Pride Saltire already covered, Scene Radio is looking forward to a busy year. Events already confirmed for 2018 are, Grampian Pride, Fife Pride, West Lothian Pride, Pride Saltire, Perthshire Pride and the 2018 Icon Awards.
The achievements so far have been accomplished with a very small volunteer base. In 2018, Scene Radio is looking to increase that volunteer base by bringing on more volunteers as presenters, reporters, regional correspondents.
Scene Radio is a community Interest Company run by four directors. Scene Radio broadcast 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
At present Scene Radio is internet based, the biggest advantage of this being that wherever there is internet coverage, Scene Radio can be accessed. The other big advantage is that our presenters do not need access to a centralised studio, a presenter can be anywhere there is access to a laptop and some simple software which can be a bedroom, living room, kitchen garage or even the top of a hill in nice weather.
Scene Radio needs YOU! The plans for growth very much center on our passion to achieve and your passion to achieve within a group of like minded people that want you to achieve.
Scene Radio is here! Scene Radio is here for the Scottish LGBT Community, Scene Radio is run by members of the Scottish LGBT Community. Scene Radio wants to be a valid service for every member of the Scottish LGBT Community whether in the cities, rural areas or the Highlands and the Islands. To become involved please get in touch.
