A Farewell to Our Beloved Millie Rae

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news that our beloved Millie, the original Wedding Woofer, has passed away just shy of her 11th birthday. Millie Rae, an F2 Cockapoo, joined our family when she was only 13 weeks old and quickly became more than just a pet; she became our partner, our loyal companion, and an integral part of our love story.

Millie was there for every step of our journey—from Mike’s thoughtful proposal to our intimate wedding at Danby Castle, where she walked me down the aisle and sat by our side as we took our vows. Her gentle presence and unwavering love inspired the very heart of Wedding Woofers. She showed us just how meaningful it is to have our furbabies by our side on such a momentous day, and it was through her that we realised how many others might feel the same way.

Millie’s gentle spirit lives on in every wedding I am a part of. She was our first Wedding Woofer, our guiding light, and now, her legacy continues as we bring joy to couples and their beloved pets on their special days.

Rest peacefully, sweet Millie Rae. You’ll forever be in our hearts, and we are endlessly grateful for the love and inspiration you brought to us and to the countless others whose lives you touched ❤️

We help you have your furbaby at your special day!

I am Adrienne Hodgson-Hoy. While planning my wedding in 2016 I found it very difficult to find venues that would cater for my dog, Millie. Millie is a part of the family and Mike and I wanted her to be part of our special day.

I decided to start a business to help other couples in a similar situation and Wedding Woofers was born.

Since then we’ve helped couples who have wanted to have their dog at their wedding, whether this is for all of the special day, or just certain parts. We can look after your furbaby, making sure all their needs are met and encouraging them to play their part, whatever that may be.
