Appreciation post!

Many many many many many years ago I was involved with a nightclub in Bury St Edmunds, starting out as a fresh, new, young and hungry DJ.

Then one day Bradford Trice walked in the building and sat down to talk with the owners of the club. He discussed about having his branded nights at our venue. The more he spoke about it, the more amazing it sounded and it wasn’t long til hands were shaken and agreements were made between him and owners to have his nights at the venue.

Fast forward a few months from that meeting and he’s branded night was in full effect and boy was it amazing!

So I decided to take a gamble….

I asked to meet with Bradford Trice to speak about the possibility of being involved in the night as a DJ, thinking it won’t hurt to ask at least, however, I was shocked with his response….HE SAID YES!

Not only did he let me get involved in his nights as a DJ, but he introduced me to Joshua Hodge and Sergio Carpio who would blow my mind every single time I watched them perform.

From song selections to technical transitions, these guys were fire!!! I was so nervous to be playing alongside them. I was nowhere near their levels. I the back of my head I was thinking they’re not gonna like this new young kid coming in trying to DJ….BUT they welcomed to me in from the get go AND they were always patient with me. Trying to help me as DJ by offering guidance, advice and criticism, where needed.

For those that don’t know…..

What these guys did, DOESNT happen often with the music industry, more so with DJs.
Newcomers are rarely given opportunities, let alone advice and guidance from those experienced…BUT THEY DID!

If you’ve ever watched either one of these two perform, it’s always unreal, mesmerising some would say. So to learn off these amazing DJs was an amazing experience. So much that it would change the way that I would perform forever.

Fast forward to now, almost 20 years later !!!!

No longer young, no longer a new kid on the block, but still just as hungry and now with many years experience, knowledge gained and hair lost 🤣

I’ve been fortunate to travel around the world and perform in some of the most iconic venues, win awards for my work, headline shows, be a special guest on national radio shows….even going on to having my own radio shows on stations and so much more!!

So to these three people I want to say thank you!

Thank you so much for your time, your knowledge, your support, all the guidance, having patience and most importantly, showing faith in me 🙏🏽

You helped build my career as Sebadee to levels I could never of dreamed of back then and even today.

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news, that I am leaving 😢

After four incredible years with the club, this decision was undoubtedly one of the hardest I have ever had to make….believe me when I say it’s been a huge part of my life.

I want to express my deepest gratitude to the club for the countless opportunities they have provided me with during my time here. The support and guidance I received have been invaluable in furthering my coaching development, and I will forever cherish the memories and experiences gained.

To the dedicated staff, talented players, and supportive parents of Maidstone United, I want to extend a massive thank you. Your unwavering commitment and passion has been truly inspiring to me. It has been an honor to work alongside you all, and I genuinely wish each and every one of you the very best in your future endeavors.

As I embark on a new chapter in my journey, I want you to know that Maidstone United will always hold a special place in my heart. The memories created, the friendships formed, and the lessons learned will forever shape my coaching career.

Thank you once again for everything, and I genuinely hope our paths will cross again in the future.

A lot can happen in 12 months…

This time last year, I stood right here. Pandemic still going strong but managed to get a job at to help the finances during tough times.

Yesterday I got to go back and play to all the workers at - DME1 though this time no longer in the position as one of their Yard Marshalls

Thank you everyone at DME1 for all your help and support during the tough times. Was incredible to see everyone and their full faces now (without masks 😳)

Crazy to think that I joined this May. In that time, alot has happened. From the graveyard shifts on Friday mornings to being moved to Tuesday evenings. It’s been incredible journey so far and I’m thankful for everyone who listens to the show week in, week out, showing nothing but love and support. Thank you so much🙏🏽
