It's such a privilege when a couple arrive at their Pre Wedding Shoot admittedly anxious, and then within minutes of getting started have found their confidence in front of camera and having a great time. When the people in shot are having fun it lives in the photos.

“A Photographers’ Dream” is what I remarked to Luke & Minarli when they told me at a Wedding Fayre last year that their venue was the beautiful Waterton Park in Wakefield.

Indeed it was a dream come true to be present to photograph their big day last month.

Another new venue for me is in Chesterfield where next month I'll be very privileged to be present to photograph Natalie and Nathan's big day.

The Pre Wedding Shoot also can serve as 'photo time' freeing up more of the precious time on Wedding day for celebration with friends and family.

In taking the couple to their venue to do the Pre Wedding Shoot, it is not only a great opportunity to understand what works for them personally; it also serves as experience for me on location akin to a golfer or jockey walking the course ahead of their performance.

This was the case at Katie and Matthew's Pre Wedding Shoot at their gorgeous National Trust venue NT East Riddlesden Hall in Keighley. I can already visualise their big day almost a year ahead.
