Finally plucked up the courage to paddle the Grand Union Canal and apart from the suspiciously brown water it was great. Definitely prefer rivers (waters much nicer and flow makes for a more interesting experience) but for a quiet paddle with the occasional chat it's alright. Not a bad way to explore the area nearby from a different perspective.
Nice morning for a splash to take the mind off the boy having his first taste of school today. Only nearly fell in once!
