Plants dying in your clay garden?

I’d like to share some gardening success and failures with you whilst I’m feeling sorry for myself after wrist breaking and shin splints, beginning with this beautiful David Austen rose. They are delicate flowers for sure but they can romp ahead in a clay garden, most rose varieties will. Well worth the investment after watching so many plants rotting in to the ground. Likely setback, blackspot, a serious rose disease that quickly spreads from shrub to shrub and on to other plants. I'm trying a natural product, Rose Sulphur, atm and will let you know how I got on
