A surprise gift from father to daughter! My painting from a photo.. well a few photos merged together!.. It’s the bonus of having an artistic licence!-to highlight and alter as one sees fit! This is a 16 x 20” canvas with acrylics … such a wonderful colour range!

In real life! Yep, that’s me! My public Popay persona enables me to create live art before your eyes! In this world, where we are swamped with touchscreen activity, it’s a real joy to be able to offer an old-fashioned visual art entertainment. My background is in street theatre, so I am very comfortable and confident dressed up as a larger than life character, or I can (try to be) simply smart! One of my recent characters is being… Banksy’s mum!! I have been lucky enough to have toured the world with my performance, Art, I have by no means retired… Yet!

Trying out my new easel set up for guest portraits this eve!… one thing about being an artist for me is stationary and equipment fe**sh!.. i delight with new gear! This easel has side trays which is a great assets for spreading one’s equipment out! I might take my timer this eve also to see how quick I can go! **sh

Live painting at a Ditton Mannor wedding in the grand interior.. where it was dry! I painted this in 6 hours… (with a break! )I loved painting the miniature masterpieces in it too! The guests delighted in seeing this form and the happy couple loved there art work.. ❤️

Guest portraits are so popular! In around 10 minutes I can do a full body portrait! I love turning people into story book illustrations! I can do them quicker or longer but feel this is a sweet spot !

Guests join in! This approach I draw central the couple and setting and around the edge I draw along side the guests! I encourage them to make a mark do a sketch of personal memories..It great to see there input and creates a wonderful excitement! I usually then paint the colour whilst everyone goes to eat ready for presentation after! .. kind of like a wedding book that you can hang up to enjoy! Guests love sporting there part!

I made these painted props! They are great fun at events for guests to get there funny selfies in fine style! I often dress as a cheeky Georgian to accompany them! I loved painting these outfits and the frames. I’ve used these at private parties and Henley festival .. great fun!

I have a background in performance and sometimes I perform and paint! Here I am at Clevedon Hall painting for a fabulous ladies 90th birthday party she requested me to be Georgian Rose… to be honest it was a bit tricky keeping my cuffs out of the pallet but I managed to keep up a smile and do a painting she was delighted with! X it was fun being a larger-than-life character - the guests were titillated with my cheeky banter!!
