🌟We’re SO excited to announce Bake-Off favouries Steven Carter-Bailey and Janusz Domagala will be joining us at Bluewater.
🌟Steven was a finalist on the 2017 series of The Great British Bake Off and went on to win the 2019 New Years’ Day special. As a celebrity cake designer, Steven has made some incredible cakes for the likes of Sir Ian McKellan, Jade Thirlwall, and most recently was invited to the BAFTAs with a cake for Rebel Wilson.
🌟Polish born Janusz became the instant stand-outstar on 2022’s Great British Bake Off when he rightfully declared himself the ‘Star Caker in the Bake week” in episode one.
🌟They’ll be taking to the Big Cookery Stage together to go head to head in the well known food challenge: Ready, Steady, Cook/Bake!!

I first worked with fused glass when I took a 1 day workshop in order to teach it as at D&T project at school. I fell in love with it and used the school pottery kiln to fire my creations for the first couple of years. In 2017, with my daughter about to start school, I decided to finish teaching and develop my own practice, setting up my business- Hen on the Shore.
💫𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬/𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭'𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞?
Product & Services - I create handmade fused glass pieces inspired by the natural world. Flowers, trees and coastal images are the main themes of my work with seasonal pieces too. Most of my work is created to be sold in shops and at craft fairs but I also take orders for my regular ranges and commissions for more unusual pieces. I also create personalised items with wedding lanterns being one of the most popular featuring the bride and groom’s names, wedding date and flower colours.
My favourite things to make are my flower designs as they are all different.

I am a proud mum of two crazy kids.
My degree is actually in Textiles and I was an art & design technology teacher for 12 years before starting my business.
I designed a range of belts for Nicole Farhi while at university.
I spent 3 months working for a silk manufacturer in Italy where I developed designs for the likes of Chanel, Ferragamo and Hugo Boss.

Every time we roll out our super popular Autumnal Humble Country shopping marquee at the heart of we are lucky enough to work with a brilliant small flower expert who helps me to dress it beautifully & sell flowers. The list of those we’ve now worked with is something to be proud of 🙏and includes and .
I have loved getting to know and working with them all! I have learnt a lot from them and always love and fully appreciate their clever creative work.
In the true spirit of planning ahead with our events and introducing another new small local flower expert, I am thrilled to have recently met Agnes from based nearby in Forest Hill Oxfordshire.

What happened to Spring? I wish this rain would just sod off now! This image was actually taken a couple of years ago at Country Fayre event at Claydon Estate. Boy did it hammer it down, but it didn’t stop the intrepid British shoppers out to bag some fabulous products. Anyway…. It’s been a fabulous few days in a real winter wonderland setting!❄️ ⭐️ We’re now left with that sad feeling you get when you take the Christmas decorations down! ⭐️ HUGE thanks to the wonderful team @rectoryfarmpyo for hosting us and helping to make this a wonderful new event in the Christmas calendar. ⭐️ Staging a brand new Christmas Fayre in a brand new venue in the depths of Winter (!) certainly isn’t for the feint hearted 🥶 but we did it and already our list of improvements & developments for Year 2 is long!
