Our favourite thing to do at The Schools' Enterprise Association is to go on a member visit! Adele Greaves, Professional Development, Training and Partnerships Manager, was delighted to be shown around Mount Kelly School by Caolan Wukics, Commercial Manager and House Parent last week.

Based in Tavistock, Devon, you literally have to drive across Dartmoor to get there! Despite the remote location, the school has an excellent swim programme including performance swimming.

NEW MEMBER FEATURE: Malvern College is situated in idyllic surroundings on the eastern slopes of the Malvern Hills, offering a number of proprietary courses including Malvern College Summer School , Malvern College Cricket Festival and the National Schools Symphony Orchestra. It features an exciting collection of corporate and private events spaces, along with Malvern Active which features a newly updated gym, full size double sports hall, Astro and grass pitches and a 25-metre pool.

Built in 1865 the main school building features several spaces which can accommodate a variety of events holding up to 200 people seated for wedding ceremonies, dinners and up to 400 standing. There are several other spaces within the grounds including the newly renovated Rogers Theatre and Lyall Foyer seating up to 250 in the state-of-the-art facility as well as a Chapel, Memorial Library, Science Centre, Music School and modern languages suite to name a few.

New Member Feature - Clayesmore is an independent school for boys and girls, years 3 -13, set in the bucolic Dorset village of Iwerne Minster. It is both a day and boarding school and is a member of The Headmasters' and Headmistresses' Conference. The school was founded by Alexander Devine in 1896 in Enfield, Middlesex, and settled in Dorset in 1933.

Clayesmore offers individuals, businesses and organisations the opportunity to hire parts of the school for events, meetings and residential accommodation during the holidays and some weekends throughout the year. NEW MEMBER FEATURE - When not in use by our pupils, St Leonards School in St Andrews makes an ideal venue to hire, for study seminars, group meetings, summer schools, corporate activity holidays, sport and training camps and more, either on a residential or non-residential basis. The school is situated in the heart of St Andrews, just minutes from the town’s historic sites, award-winning beaches and world-famous golf courses. The cities of Edinburgh (1 hour), Glasgow (1 1/2 hours), Aberdeen (1 1/4 hours) and Dundee (20 minutes) are easily accessed.

Meals are served in the school dining hall, Restaurant 1877, which can accommodate up to 220 people.

MEMBER FEATURE: Bradfield College is an HMC school of some 800 pupils set in 200 acres of beautiful Berkshire countryside in the South East of England. Founded over 150 years ago by Thomas Stevens, Rector and Lord of the Manor of Bradfield, it has grown to be one of the country’s leading independent schools.

Located just off junction 12 on the M4, the beautiful rural setting at Bradfield College is the perfect site for corporate meetings, conferences, weddings and external events. The College has a range of function and conference rooms able to accommodate groups from 10 up to 600 delegates. These range from the historic dining hall, constructed in 1862, Chapel, sports centre, playing fields, golf course, swimming pool, music school and science centre through to our multimedia classrooms that are all fully equipped with the latest interactive whiteboards and projectors. Bradfield is also a wonderful location for weddings. NEW MEMBER FEATURE: We are delighted to welcome Sherborne Girls to The Schools' Enterprise Association . The School's extensive 40-acre campus and boarding houses are available for hire outside term time during the Easter and summer school holidays. In June 2019, they celebrated the opening of an £11m arts centre - The Merritt Centre - a bespoke building with state-of-the-art facilities including a concert hall that can seat 305, music practice rooms, recording studio and cafe.

NEW MEMBER FEATURE - Downside School is a co-educational Catholic independent boarding and day school for children aged 11 to 18. It is located in south-west England in Stratton-on-the-Fosse, between Bath, Frome, Wells and Bruton.

The fantastic grounds at Downside are just a short hop from the World Heritage City of Bath and consist of 500 acres stretched out across a bucolic Mendip countryside seemingly designed for cross-country. It is a beautiful and transformative environment with an extensive range of rugby and cricket pitches, tennis, hockey and netball courts, a modern sports pavilion, squash courts, indoor and outdoor cricket nets, a fitness suite, an indoor swimming pool, and a performing arts centre which houses a 450-seat theatre and recording studio.
