Happy New Year! 🎆 Here’s to 2025—a year filled with creativity, growth, and exciting new opportunities for all of us in the mentalism community.

As we step into this new year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the festive period just gone. We had planned a quiet and peaceful holiday season—and while it was certainly quiet, we had a little hiccup with our oil boiler deciding to stop working! 🥶 For about 10 days, it was a bit of a challenge to keep warm, but I’m grateful to say it’s now fixed with a new pump installed, and the house is toasty again!

Despite the chill, we made the most of the season by spending time with family, sharing lots of FaceTimes with friends overseas, and reflecting on the dear friends we lost this past year. We also enjoyed some lovely country walks, indulged in amazing home baking, and made an effort to step back from work and recharge.

Looking Ahead

2025 is shaping up to be an incredible year. At Read My Mind Ltd, we’ve got some amazing projects brewing behind the scenes. Places A-Z is a complete rework of our classic release Places with many added features. While I can’t share all the details just yet, I promise you’ll be thrilled with what’s to come. Stay tuned—it’s going to be a good one!

🚨 This month is a busy one. 🚨

First up is a routine I have used for around 15 years. 'Tracker' initially began its life as a playing card routine but as it developed it became more than apparent that you can substitute the playing cards with any other type of cards and it changes the presentation instantly.

Double blanks, business cards, postcards, photos etc...in fact me and Meraux Dantes got together to film a video that focusses on the different types of cards can be utilised and each one changes the effect considerably. What will you use?

Check out the performance I filmed with my barber Lee, it used some double blank cards and one with a giant red X on it. I even filmed a version with Meraux asking him to trust his instincts throughout and he did just that, eliminating 51 other blank cards leaving just one remaining that had a prediction written on it for him.

Lots of scope for customisation this month so do consider how you can make this routine yours....its a great gift and one that will serve you well for years. Did you know that Tracker was the first of a trilogy of card based routines I developed. All three based around a similar idea....Does anyone know the other 2?

In addition, this months guest is none other than Ken Dyne / Kennedy...the interview will drop next week and focusses on 'developing unique presentations' for your mentalism acts. We had fun filming it and its packed full of clever insights and ideas for you to begin developing your own unique presentations for those times when you might not be feeling particularly creative. In addition there will be other bits dropping throughout the month too...keep an eye out in the course for updates.
