It isn't often that our posts devote centre stage to another entertainment source, but Audiotonic had to be the exception to the rule.
UDC probably works with around 4 to 5 bands per year, and boy do we hope to work with them again. Jo had hired us for her 50th birthday and what a brilliant night. With upbeat 80s and 90s dance classics as our contribution, Stu and his band did 2 45 minute plus slots and had a full dancefloor. What an amazing band and hope to work with you all again.
DJ Daren had a lively weekend, covering 2 functions at Wokingham Cricket Club. It has rounded off a very busy month with 17 functions covered by both DJs.
August is a lot quieter, giving the team a chance to wind down and prepare for Xmas.
Some good summer weather is predicted for this week. Enjoy everyone.
It was the end of term party at Godalming College midweek.
'....Thank you so much for yday Steve. You were brilliant and it was nice to see lots of men on the dancefloor. I'll be in touch for the next party...'
Thanks to Phillippa for booking with us on an epic night that saw England qualify for the European Championship.
A fairly unique week with DJ Steve taking on his first festival booking! It was Rain 1 Parallel Festival 0 as the heavens opens and soaked all attendees. However the yearn to party wasn't as Steve got the PHAB tent rocking to the Village People. Making a great impression, Janine who booked UDC, enthused that they would book the company for Parallel 2025. Let us hope it dries up.
It was the 2nd one of the week for Steve who sent Year 2 at Polegate Infants into the juniors? ending on Three Lions. Yes England are still in there.
And DJ Daren was also doing his 70s Disco at new UDC venue Farnborough British Legion. Hand jives at the ready, the whole dancefloor Bye Bye Babied, vowed to 'survive' and totally Nightfevered. Here's to our next one in October.
Another busy week. 3 for Steve, and 1 for Daren. Looking forward to all of them
And it is time for a lovely mother daughter dance to celebrate Allie's 60th bday. She certainly doesn't look it!
DJ Steve kept the choons spinning as UDC debuted at the Royal Holloway College on Saturday night at a 70s themed party. It was a beautiful night, so guests were happy to chat in the wonderful courtyard or do a bit of disco from Allie's playlist.
It was the last of 3 discos for Steve following the year 6 leavers party at Busbridge and the White Waltham PTA outside fundraising party.
And we look forward to the week ahead, Steve is on an infants disco and compering the PHAB stand at Parallel Windsor on Sunday.
Wishing everyone a fabulous week and catch up soon
'Yeee Haaaaaa boy' summed up this set of cheesy songs that included 5-6-7-8, the Macarena and Cha Cha Slide. The YMCA, Come on Eileen and Sweet Caroline were also played so the newly engaged couple had a great time in the first really warm night of the year at UDC venue, Rams Rugby Club.
It was the second outing of the week for DJ Steve, following a very successful debut at Greatham Primary School. It earned UDC their 80th 5 star review - a 100% achievement.
This week sees Steve even busier with 2 school discos and a 60th bday. Find out how they went in our next post.
We don't often feature our regular followers, but DJ Martin is becoming quite a hit at our UDC functions. Martin has been accompanying DJ Steve for many years and is proving a hit with fellow dancers as the evidence proves.
This week DJ Steve covered a wedding for Gary at the Grovefield House Hotel. Congratulations to Elaine and Malcolm who partied away till the early hours, ably helped by Martin and the Village People.
Elsewhere DJ Daren pulled out all the stops to celebrate the birthday of Walton Workies stalwart Jill. Another 2 very successful evenings for the team.
Next week is another full on weekend with a 30th birthday, a junior party and a summer party for a caravan club for DJ Steve. Definitely looking forward to Father's Day and a day off!
'....Say Hip, Hop, Hippety Hop....' yes DJ Steve goes old skool for Tracy's 60 birthday at Boulters Lock Boathouse on Saturday to round up another amazing evening. It was meant to be a total surprise but Tracy was very astute and knew something was going on. Steve marvelled at the views from the dancefloor. A totally unique location.
Steve then headed off to the Lucan Pavilion on Sunday for Evie's 6th birthday. Faced with some beautiful weather, he rose to the challenge of entertaining 30 5 to 6 year olds? and got some great feedback. Hope everyone had a great time.
It's a quieter week. Steve heads out to cover a function for Bonkers Disco this week. But as you know with The Ultimate Disco Company, it can get Bonkers at anytime....
Have a great week everyone and catch up soon
Just one more sneaky clip from Saturday's wedding....
They are jumping for Britain! More lively footage from Jo and Chad's wedding.
It was a massive end to Liz's 50th birthday at Silver Wing Sailing Club as DJ Steve led a huge ovation to his colleague in the day job. It was the first time at this fantastic venue jut on the outskirts of Wraysbury, and let's hope UDC return soon. Hope you had a great party Liz, we don't envy your hangover!
This disco had the been the second over the weekend for DJ Steve, following the previous disco at St Mary's School in Mortimer. Well done to year 5 for winning the dance off, and to year 6 who flossed the better as well.
DJ Daren was also out and about for DJ Thomas in Hurst celebrating more birthdays....and it isn't over yet with Steve out in Worplesdon today for Carey's 13th birthday. One of the busiest weekends for UDC so far this year.
It summed up how busy the team are becoming with another May disco coming in for Steve, and Sandmartins Golf Club confirming their Xmas Bookings with UDC. In April? Wow Santa really is getting his act together!
And the team only have a matter of days to draw breath before preparing for next weekend with 3 discos booked. DJ Daren heads off to Byfleet for a party, DJ John is looking after a party at Walton and Steve is at a surprise wedding anniversary at a local venue.
So thinking of having a party? Do get in touch with the team for a chat about getting your dancefloor rocking.
This weekend it was all about older birthdays and this time Barry was celebrating his 70th bday in Earley. Thanks to our friends at Thomas Brown Discos for passing this one onto us. It was great to be back at Our Lady of Peace and Blessed to celebrate this.
It's another busy week for UDC with 4 discos booked in. Birthdays, a school disco and a children's party all pencilled in. Do get in touch with us for your disco requirements.
More fun from last night's Sandmartins Booking. Included a balloon fight to Night Fever!
The Adele tribute....feeling the Blues
The alcohol flowed and the atmosphere at Walton Working Man's Club raced up to fifth gear as 120 revellers enjoyed club classics as pictured. DJ Steve covered the warm up , the break and the close, following 2 x 45 mins sets from the Adele tribute that had travelled down from the North to entertain the packed venue.
And what a night....DJ Steve ended on the classic 6 1/2 mins classic 'Never Forget' by Take That and got a standing ovation and a few '1 more DJ' from an enthused crowd, out to celebrate Easter.
Time for the UDC gang to enjoy a couple of days off before returning to the day job. Looking forward to Sandmartins Golf Club as the next booked function.
Happy Easter everyone.
And it was off to another new venue tonight, this time the Rose and Crown in Sandhurst to party the night away regardless. DJ Steve had been booked for a birthday party that had unfortunately been cancelled. However Jackie the landlady decided to go ahead and one happy pub later, we hope she is considering it to be a regular date.
It capped off a great week for UDC with numerous bookings and great feedback for the team from previous clients.
And it's another busy week with 2 school discos and an Adele tribute evening for DJ Steve. Let's keep those dancefloors rockin'
It was a brilliant night when DJ Steve headed off to a venue in the middle of nowhere where Hire Heaven are based.
www.hireheaven.co.uk
Magician Jason had come up with the brainchild of setting up a Facebook Group under the title of Marlow Wedding. His intention being to cut out the wedding middle men, and assemble a group of suppliers with the intention of providing wedding services directly. There were singers, florists and even a saxophonist (recommended by us - Caz on Sax) and the networking was immense.
Steve returned with some great new contacts and hopefully a chance for UDC to increase the number of wedding bookings
More brilliant footage from Friday night's disco at the Walter Arms celebrating Jo's 40th bday.
Thanks also to Daren, Lynn and Chris who have booked their parties with us in the last few days.
We are really looking forward to setting your dancefloors alight.
