Following on from my last post, when my 4 year old Easter party pooper pointed out that dragons and unicorns don't live in Glossop..I thought I'd play it safe and do this one while she was in nursery 🤣

In my world, the Easter Bunny can write letters, tie bows and operate a wax seal stamper. Anything is possible in your child's beautiful imagination!

I don't normally post on a Saturday night. But it's been a looooong day of parenting here today - you know the kind I mean, where time stands still and possibly even goes backwards - and I needed to do something other than make snacks, play doctors or watch Peppa Pig.

I'm tired. As you can probably tell from this photo! I'm officially closed for orders and spending the week working my way through the remaining sleigh load of Santa letters! 🎅

It's Christmas tree decorating day in our house (👉scroll to see our two special trees this year.. 🤣) Someone always gets bored/starts crying/has a sulk when it comes to putting the Christmas decorations up and my lounge always smells of musty loft once the tree has been unwrapped. I decided to light this baby up so my house at least smelt amazing amongst all the drama!!

If you want a house that smells like pure Christmas this year, you will absolutely LOVE these luxury wax melts from . I've got this one melting away right now and the scent is just amazing, it feels like Christmas Eve in here.

Nicola is one of the talented female entrepreneurs who is part of my Facebook group for creative women and is just SO lovely. She pours her heart and soul (literally!) into her wax melts and candles, which are all made from soy wax with premium vegan fragrances.

🎄What are your Christmas Eve traditions?

I think this year will be the start of some real ones for us since my daughter has turned 4 and actually is excited now (rather than petrified) about the idea of a strange man coming into the house when she's asleep 🤣

I'm a simple girl and love the simple things in life. Christmas Eve is always a day just for us and we normally bake (ok, burn) gingerbread, have a hot chocolate with a ridiculous amount of marshmallows and watch a film. I make Christmas Eve Kits so I'll also leave one of these out for my daughter to do before bedtime to prepare the house for Santa's arrival.

🍪This year I'll be ditching the burnt gingerbread though in favour of supporting my friend (and fellow mumtrepreneur) and getting one of her ready made cookie mix jars to do on Christmas Eve! Super easy activity for the kids - just chuck it all in a bowl, oven it and you have some bakery style cookies for them to enjoy (and leave out for Santa - 2 birds, 1 stone).

I'm super proud of my friend, colleague and fellow entrepreneur Sophie today as she launches her brand new website for her baking business The Biscuit Days !

A lot of mums have been telling me they think it's the last year they can get away with the Santa secret and I totally feel the sadness for them 😫🎅

🥳🥳🥳 WOW. Tonight I owe the BIGGEST thank you to an amazing lady who has just helped me gain more exposure on social media in the last few hours than I've had in the last few months (maybe even years..)

And all I did was create a couple of my Santa letters for her beautiful children as a thank you for taking the time to comment on a reel that I did a few days ago. Lauren received my package today and loved it so much that she shared it with her MASSIVE amount of followers.

And she didn't stop there..She made it her mission to get me to 1k followers TONIGHT and in less than a couple of hours, we've smashed it! I have almost another 200 new people loving Vintage Twee from this one kind gesture, which has resulted in some orders for my Santa letters.

What a wonderful, amazing lady who really does champion other mums in business and is making a real difference to the lives of us small business owners ❤️

Naughty or nice...the jury is still out in the household.. 🤔🤣

With it being half term, there's a nosy little one around here so I'm having to do these certificates after hours when she's asleep.

If you ordered last week, yours will be ready for collection next week (w/c 6th November) and I'll drop you a message to let you know.

I'm trying to find a really cool Christmas postbox to leave outside my house instead of my current IKEA collection box to make it even more exciting but have found nothing that will withstand the Peak District weather at the moment🤣 I will keep searching though!

Never mind ghosts and ghouls - there's much more to be afraid of this week..🤣

So it's half term here in Derbyshire and for the sake of my own sanity, Vintage Twee will be closed for orders on my website, Not on the High Street and Etsy stores.

You can still message me via social media or email if you want to get on my Santa letter list (or anything else of course, I put a post out last week with my available Christmas items this year so they are all on there). It just might take me a bit longer than usual to get back to you as I've got limited childcare and 2 businesses to juggle so I'm swapping hats umpteen times during the course of the day!

I've just been rifling through my drawers and I've found a handful of my Halloween Quest Activity Kits if anyone is stuck for a last minute activity to do with the kids!

They aren't personalised and don't include the treat bags but they do contain:

Anyone else have inquisitve (nosy) little ones that are ALWAYS asking questions, when all you want to do is just preserve the magic of Christmas for just that little bit longer??

My mum did everything she could to make Christmas just the most magical time for us. We didn't have a lot but the most memorable part for me was always waiting at the top of the stairs (while mum made everyone have a wee first) before heading down in the dark and cold to find out if 'he's been' 🎅 (my other most memorable part of the festive season was her cardboard advent chimney that dispensed one mint imperial each for me, my sister and my dad for the whole of December..🤣)

So if you need any help whatsoever this year keeping that magic alive, drop me a message! Apparently, my authentic Santa letters did the job last year and had children gasping in disbelief that he knew so much about them ❤️

We get all grown up and serious far too quickly so let's keep them little for as long as possible 🎅🌟

This Santa key isn't just one of my normal keys that I create every year for kids to leave out on Christmas Eve. This one is extra special and on it's way to a family in Mississippi, USA who aren't sure where they'll be waking up on Christmas morning as their house burnt down 😔 They are currently staying in an apartment until they figure out what to do.

The mum ordered some Letters from Santa for her 3 children and explained she didn't know what address to put on the envelope as she didn't know what would happen and where they would be.

I slipped this key into her parcel before sending it off so the kids could be sure that Santa would be able to visit them on Christmas Eve, no matter where they were.

Sometimes we all just need a bit of kindness sprinkled our way to make a truly s***t situation that little bit better.

So I've well and truly learnt my lesson after last year when I ended up more frazzled than the Christmas turkey..

I'll be closing the order books on Thursday 30th November, which will be the last date to place any orders before Christmas. For my international customers, this date will be slightly earlier - Friday 17th November - due to last year's Royal Mail fiasco (I'm not taking any chances, my mental health is way more important!).

If you'd like to order any of my Christmas items, please don't leave it too late as I won't be able to accept any last minute orders this year!

A lot of people have been asking if myself and Sophie from are running our Enchanted Halloween event again this year. We honestly love that everyone enjoyed it so much ❤️ Unfortunately we're just both too knackered to even attempt it and that's the honest truth 🤣

I AM making my Halloween Hunts though if you want something exciting to do with little ones that isn't going to scare the bejesus of out them!

Let them use the Clue Cards to find the spooky ingredients and recipe to make their own magic potion. Hide the Trick and Treat cards to keep them entertained and they can even collect sweets along the way in their own personalised treat bag!
