Fame at last! This is actually crazy...😱

As some of you may know, I launched my new venture - Her Handmade Hustle - last year, mentoring other women who want to start or grow a creative business of their very own. I've been spreading the word as much as possible about the support I can give other creative women who, like me, might be feeling stuck by the 9-5 grind - or even just the lack of viable work opportunities out there to fit around their current commitments.

So I help these amazing, talented women start businesses around a talent or hobby that they love so they can create their own work opportunities that fit around them.

Anyway! I found out just before Christmas that I have been announced as one of the UK’s most impressive female entrepreneurs by Small Business Britain’s ‘f:Entrepreneur ’ campaign!

I'm on a list of the Top 100 inspirational female entrepreneurs from across the country, as part of the campaign to celebrate the multi-achievements of women running businesses in the UK today. You can see the full list of women here:

It's all a bit surreal and crazy but I'm super proud so thought I'd share the news with all my lovely VT customers 🥳

In more mundane news...my printer has officially gone to Printer Heaven so Vintage Twee will be re-opening slightly later than planned on Monday 13th January!

📣 Last day for collection of Christmas orders is this Wednesday!

If you've not managed to pop by and pick up your order yet, please note the last day is Wednesday (18th) December. The collection box is outside on my doorstep from 9am until 7pm so you can come any time between these hours and just grab it from the box. All orders are labelled with your name.

I've still got a few to be collected so if you're able to arrange this in the next couple of days I would be so grateful! 🙏

Aaaaaaand I'm DONE! The last of the Santa letters have been completed today and I'm tucking away my wax seal for 2024 🤫🎅

A massive thank you to everyone who has ordered - I've loved reading what your little ones have asked Father Christmas for (and didn't know what half of them were...) and I'll be thinking of their little faces lighting up when they open their special letters ✨

If you've ordered a Santa letter, please ensure you have returned the personalisation form by this Wednesday too.

✨SANTA'S MAGIC WISHING COIN (for true believers) ✨

I'm finally releasing these beauties today! (and I'm very proud of them!)

I designed them myself and then had them specially made to trial out this year. They are totally exclusive to Vintage Twee and really are one of a kind ✨

These Wishing Coins are created from a gold acrylic disc with beautiful fluted edges and engraved wording. I added a gold tassel for an extra special touch and they come presented in a dark red velvet drawstring bag. They measure approx 5cm in diameter.

They are the perfect addition to Christmas Eve boxes or to leave as a gift from Santa on Christmas morning as a thanks for his mince pie or cookie! 🎅

As I'm just trialing them this year, I do only have a limited amount which is the only bad news! So they are a bit like an Aldi Special Buy - once they're gone, they're gone!

These magical Wishing Coins are £7 each and can be collected from me in Glossop or posted for £1.50.

Every year I create these special letters, I laugh, smile - and sometimes cry - at the things that our kids ask Santa for on Christmas morning. The contents of their little minds never ceases to amaze (and amuse!) me and I often wonder if a) their parents actually manage to pull off their requests and b) how the hell do they explain why Santa couldn't bring them an AK 47 assault rifle...🙈

I always love to share some of my favourites with you so, as promised, here is the list of weird, wonderful and downright hilarious gift requests that I've received so far for Santa from our crazy little humans!

Keeping it in the family here at VT! 🫶

This Christmas, I will be collaborating with my wonderfully talented 8 year old niece, Bonnie, (a real budding entrepreneur and my creative partner in crime!) and we'll be gifting one of her festive loom bands with every order received! 🎅

🎅 CHRISTMAS ORDERS ✨

As you may have noticed, Vintage Twee has been shut for the past few months while I recovered from an operation. I've been getting a few enquiries about my personalised Santa Letters and just wanted to let everyone know they will be available to order from Monday 30th September!

If you want to be placed on the priority list, please pop a comment on this post - I'll then add you to my list and drop you a message when I'm ready for the onslaught ha! (seriously, I have physio today to limber up..) 😂

There have been a few changes to VT while I've been off, the main one being that I've had to sacrifice my website - unfortunately it was just too much work/expense running this and the one for my coaching business.

What a review. Every year I have the privilege to work with the Manchester Princess Parties Ltd team on their annual Fairytale Ball at Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa. I loved creating these mini message in a bottle favours for this year's 'Under the Sea' theme ball - it was a real show stopper and was just the most magical experience for our little ones (mine included!)

Some of you may noticed that I've been off the grid for a few months now and Vintage Twee had been shut while I've been recovering from a massive operation.

The good news is 1) I made it out alive and 2) I will be reopening again in September for Christmas orders! So rest assured the Letters from Santa will be back for the third year running 😁🎅

However, never one to sit on my arse and do absolutely nothing...I started a podcast while I've been off! 🎙

It's actually doing pretty well - so far, I'm being listened to in 22 different countries and I even made it I to the Apple podcast charts a couple of weeks back 🎉

Following on from my last post, when my 4 year old Easter party pooper pointed out that dragons and unicorns don't live in Glossop..I thought I'd play it safe and do this one while she was in nursery 🤣

In my world, the Easter Bunny can write letters, tie bows and operate a wax seal stamper. Anything is possible in your child's beautiful imagination!
