Evening all and best wishes for 2025!

Just a little update for you...

First off, we've added some "In Stock" items to the website (a few images above). Some have size options while others are one size depending on the design. We're aiming to get these shipped within 14 days. Ideally sooner but we're still on reduced man days due to some of us working away.

Secondly, EU shipping is currently unavailable. We'll announce when we resolve this but sadly for now it's a no go with no estimate on when this will get sorted.

Next up is a reminder that we're no longer producing items on a Made to Order basis and will be focusing on making Stock items for the foreseeable future. If you have a Made to Order commission these are being completed as normal. We're also closed for custom LARP commissions. Any changes to this will be announced.

Lastly, we're technically back in the studio as of Monday but only partially. As previously mentioned some of us are working away for a while meaning all office admin is being handled by mobile when time allows. So please bare with us on any communication.

Otherwise we're cracking on with it. Very excited to see what the year brings our way!

And that's a wrap for 2024. It's been another mad year!

We want to thank every one of you for supporting us throughout the year. Every customer for believing in us. Every friend that's popped in for a cuppa (especially those who brought biscuits 😁). Every post Like and Share. Our suppliers for always being on time! THE BIGGEST appreciation to those special few of you that continuously tag us in every post that feature a DA shiny. You know who you are and we love you for it 🥰

All of you have kept us in pursuit of our goals despite how bleak things looked. We appreciate all of you!

Also and more importantly, we want to thank our team. Without you guys none of this is possible! Your belief and faith in what we're trying to build is appreciated more than you realise! So thank you ❤️

TOTALLY FORGOT TO MENTION A FEW THINGS!!

To summarise:

• We're closed until 2025.
• "Made to Order" has gone.
• Current orders are still in progress.
• EU shipping may now be in question.
• Happy Holidays!

The post:

We're all closed up for the holidays! We'll be back in the new year but not quite in full swing.

Jay and Ash are currently on a film project working away. While DA is in capable hands, 2 men down means things will take longer to complete. As this becomes a regular occurrence, we've made some changes.

"Made to Order" items are no longer an option. Because of the other industries DA is involved with, keeping to a reasonable estimate has always been difficult. Especially as workloads and deadlines fluctuate so drastically. So instead we'll be focused on creating a large range of "In Stock" LARP items for the website and for events. This will be the new norm moving forward and should lead to a more pleasant experience for all! We'll add some sort of "Request Form" at some point too should you have any thoughts on colour options etc which we can add to our stock.

This change will get us back on track with production and enable us to focus on new designs and items. It also means wait times for items are drastically reduced!

Current orders are still in progress for completion ASAP. Custom LARP commission slots are still closed indefinitely.

EU shipping has become a bit of an unknown at the moment due to the recent GPSR update. Once we get our heads around it, EU shipping should be back on. If it becomes a major issue we'll be in touch. A priority issue for the new year!

Otherwise we just want to thank all of you for supporting us this year! It's been another interesting and stressful one but seems to be ending with a much clearer focus on where 2025 will take us! Clear new objectives, amazing new staff (there's 6 of us now 👀) and a continued drive to never give up!

Just in case you haven't heard, Wicked is out! Have you seen it yet?!

We were very lucky to be involved in such an epic production!

Working with the incredible team in the costume department, we did a few bits and bobs for the movie and franchise.

Throughout 2023 our 3D printers were the busiest they've ever been. So busy we had to get more! From buttons and badges to high heels and jewellery. Epaulettes, earrings and even the odd mould. All manner of costume accessories! The buttons alone totaled over 3000! A little casting was thrown in for good measure of course 😁

In reality it was only a very small part in the grand scheme of this epic movie achievement but for us, this was the largest amount of stuff we've done as a company for any production and it was an absolute pleasure to be involved!

Hugely added bonus that we got to work with some of our favourite people in the industry and met a few new ones too!

So thank you! Thank you for letting us be a part of this incredible creation and the biggest congratulations to everyone that made the masterpiece that it is ❤️

NEW SHINY THING ALERT!!

We present to you our latest LARP safe choppy thing.

The Cutlass!

We kept it relatively classic in design. The 2 versions featured here have slight differences. One with a twin fuller. The other sporting a te****le design for those seafaring types. I wonder what other designs we could do... Any thoughts?🤔

Available from 36" to 42" in length.
Weighing approximately 295grams.
Layered 45kilo foam blade.
50 shore rubber hilt.
Carbon fibre core.
Shiny as standard ✨

This was meant to be posted last night but after almost 4 hours on the road and unloading the van around half 9 last night, we decided to just go home and crash 😴

So, what a weekend! We were trading at LarpCon UK up in Leicester. Ourselves, Fakelore Games and StarKey Studios in our collective capacity as well as being opposite the legends at Wyrmwick Creations made for a real fun time!

Not only did we sell a few things but we got to hang with some amazing makers and traders, see some old faces that we just don't get to see often enough, and we got to meet some of you guys too!

Thanks to everyone that came over to the stall. We love hearing about your LARP escapades and real life events! We hope you liked our shiny things too 😁

After a few weeks of long days, late nights and working weekends were going to take a few days to relax, recharge and get the studio back into shape... It's not pretty in there. Much cleaning and sorting required!

We'll get back to any enquiries as soon as we're able. But for now some well earned down time is on the cards. Complete with some gorgeous mead from Afon Mêl Mead Hall 🍺

Greetings. It's been a month so we thought a little update was in order. There's so much going on right now so this'll be mostly a summary of what's been happening.

Ok first off, our new compressor is here. It's fitted and it's purring away nicely! That took much longer than anticipated but at least it's sorted now! Because of this monster upgrade we're able to use so many more tools at once. Maximum catch-up has begun. We could really use more hands. Speaking of...

WE HAVE NEW TEAM MEMBERS! But not just anyone. We've joined forces with the very talented folk at StarKey Studios ! Our new creative partnership will see some amazing things coming in the future. More on this later 👀 But we're all VERY excited at the possibilities! The combination of skills and experience is sure to bring some fantastic creativity.

Films, TV, theatre, it's all kicking off! We've been involved in several projects over the last few months including a movie, a TV series, some TV adverts and a theatre production is also in talks. Safe to say we are going to be flat out!

Next up we have LARPCon. At present we're doing our best to get as much stock finished to take with us as we can. We'll have a busy area as we're there with Starkey Studio's and Fakelore Games! Weapons, costume, new LARP game info, much shiny and exciting! We're also opposite the always incredible Wyrmwick Creations who as you're aware produces all Dragon Armoury armour designs as well as their own amazing creations. So if you're attending LARPCon, MAKE SURE YOU STOP BY!

Otherwise we're still cracking on with orders as best we can. Still coming up with new designs. Still a mile behind on emails (sorry). Oh and we're all almost back to being fully functional humans... Almost! Injury and illness never understands deadlines but we're still going 💪🏼

Anyway that's enough for now. More posts coming soon. We have some amazing things to show you!

Whats going on here then.......... 👀

Hey all! 

Sorry we've not been about much. It's been interesting...
..long story short, remember when the compressor broke a month ago? Well we still don't have a replacement yet! And we've also endured a few weeks of personal issues, potential kidney failure and now a torn calf muscle while in the middle of 2 TV and Film production jobs and many LARP orders. Safe to say that we are behind!!

We were aiming to get all caught up by the end of September but that's now not looking possible for everything as we've had to ease off a little but, all parties are on the mend 🤕

For now we're just getting on as best as possible and finishing everything as soon as we're able. At least we're still going 💪🏻

Now for something a little more shiny, check out the 24 carat gold Dragon Armoury coin! One of our screen jobs required some gold-plated pieces. So we had some samples done for future projects which look amazing... Ooooooooh the possibilities!

Anyway we hope you're all doing ok. What have we missed?

Again sorry we've been quiet. As usual we'll get round to answering all outstanding enquiries as soon as we can.

Due to a technical issue... 😭😭

Today our compressor chose to become ornamental! Naturally this happened whilst painting which was shall we say, a mild inconvenience 🤬

So what now? After a strip down inspection we've made the decision to retire it completely. Ok technically it made that decision for us 😢

It's about 6 years old which doesn't sound much but we absolutely put it through its paces. It's not really meant to be getting the kind of battering we give it. Running all the air tools, sandblaster and all the spraying continuously throughout the long days. So off to the scrap pile it goes. You've served us well!

In the meantime we've managed to borrow a small compressor to help get us by with painting but it'll definitely slow things down until we can get a new replacement.

We've decided it's time to get a proper screw compressor. It'll be much more efficient for the task at hand! Tad more expensive though 👀🫨🤯 (taking donations or selling kidneys 😂) But will be a sound investment for the future for sure 💪🏻

Hopefully this won't cause too much delay. We'll see!

Anyway hopefully your day has been going better than ours has 🤞🏻 ❤️

WE CAUGHT THE PLAGUE!!

If you're wondering why we've been so quiet, it all started last week with a poorly team member. Turned out to be COVID, which most of us ended up with and that was that! We had to shut shop.

The last 2 weeks we've been running on minimum to zero staff which as you can imagine has caused a few issues with deadlines etc. Unfortunately as annoying as that is, our rest and recovery come first above all else!

We're almost fully functioning humans again so we're in this weekend to try and catch up with some bits. Obviously we can't do that much catch up over one weekend but anything helps right?!

Emails etc we'll deal with next week when we're back on official office hours. Attempts were made to do some from email things from home but sleep was prioritised 😴

Anyway we hope you've all been doing ok though 🤞🏻

I know we shouldn't really complain but isn't it just a tad warm at the moment?! ☀️

We've even had to grab the old fridge from outside to cool the resin down. It really doesn't like this temperature and humidity... Can relate!!

The other issue is a slight overheating of the extractor making painting slightly impossible. So it's a full strip down and clean to make sure the air is flowing nicely.

Otherwise it's business as usual. Ish 👀

Hilts are going into colour and the paint is really drying fast. We also have some orders being assembled extra carefully as the glue is going off far too quickly leaving little time for corrections!

One bonus at least is the 3D printer room heater has only come on once this week! Plus the big foam scalemail job on the laser bed is all good as the XT8 from has great cooling so no issues there as at!

As for us, we're making time to stay well hydrated. Tea counts right 😁☕

If you're suffering with the heat like we are, please take those important extra hydration breaks! We're all busy but health comes first 💪🏻

Right, we better get back to it.
