😫I've been asked a few times to step in and help as people get closer to their events as they realise they haven't anticipated how long things are going to take or how much there is to do.😟

⁉️Or I've been asked to to help with a few hours right at the start of planning to get people onto the right track✔️

🌟So I've decided to offer "Spark Sessions" which are designed to spark ideas or help reignite the excitement into an event by removing some of the stress. ✨️

⏳️These sessions are 90mins long virtual calls where I will help you to get started, support with a specific task or work through a problem or issue you're having.📱

Good morning!! What an absolute treat it is to be able to enjoy a morning cuppy to views like this!! ☕️☀️🌲 look at that sky!! 😍💙

Capo is so perfectly tranquil in the morning and our accomodations 🏡 all offer gorgeous outdoor spaces to enjoy a little alfresco breakfast. 🥐🌳

However, if you prefer to have something made for you there are some delicious 😋 options in the surrounding villages for food & drink including Sinclair's Larder in Edzell, The Arch Cafe and bistro in Fettercairn or Gannets in Laurencekirk! All well worth a visit! ❤️

Having been involved in theatre since I was tiny I’ve got a lot of experience with amateur production. Taking on several committee roles as well as production team positions means not only do I have experience of performing but I also have a sound understanding of what it takes to plan all the elements of a theatre production from front of house to the after show party! The first event I have been planning since starting my business in January was my sisters 30th. It was a brilliant opportunity to practice all the skills & learning and I've been doing and professionally plan an event "officially" as Laura Mackay: Event Planning.

For this event I communicated with the venue, coordinated with catering & bar, designed event stationary and dealt with RSVPs, to list a few things.

Brechin City Hall is such a great venue, incredibly versatile with the volunteers who run the hall keeping it absolutely spotless and going above & beyond to make sure the event ran perfectly!

The Brechin Arms & Trina’s Tasty Treats kept everyone well fed and watered, going out of their way to make sure everyone was accommodated for! And not forgetting JoJo's Bakes who created a stunning cake perfect for the occasion!!

So something you may or may not know about me is that I've been heavily involved with the local theatre groups in Brechin since I was 8 years old. Over the years I've been on stage, part of the production teams or on the committees. Brechin Amateur Operatic Society is one of these groups and their fabulous production of Sister Act goes on stage this week!! 💃🎵👯‍♀️

If you've never been to see BAOS before I promise it's well worth going along. I'll be cheering on my wonderful friends in the audience and helping Front of House this year but I cannot wait to get back to treading the boards soon!!
