A year ago to the day, Oliver was at embarking on the first day of his extensive recovery from for his .⁣
⁣
Since then, we've tackled no end of challenges big and small and at times I never thought we would accomplish what we have but Oliver has not only completed each and every one of them to the absolute best of his ability but put his heart and soul into them all, with a big smile on his face no matter how tough things got.⁣

His rehabilitation is far from over but today he stands tall, beautifully steady, controlling his balance entirely independently. ⁣

It's a saying that repeatedly went racing through my mind all those years ago today, when I put pen to paper and wrote my first business plan, a plan that I had to set up on my own as a . I was no longer going to wait for the opportunities and that day I got up and started to make them.⁣

I'd given up my job of 8 years at the and was going to make sure that my actions spoke louder than my words, that I wasn't going to sweat the small stuff but embrace this change and give it everything I had. ⁣

With now over 800 Weddings under my belt, I can honestly say I've never looked back. ⁣

Where to start...It's been the busiest and most extraordinary last few months to say the least. In many ways it's felt like a spectacular dream because for so long we as artists were, alongside the industry, wondering 'when and if' as opposed to 'will' but since we have been allowed to spread our wings again, I find myself feeling truly blessed to have built so many happy memories in helping get ready on the morning of their long-awaited special day, as they prepare to say 'I Do' with their Happy Ever After. ⁣
⁣
Along the way, we've laughed, we've celebrated and we've cried (happy tears). I've also made the most AMAZING friends and together we've all breathed an enormous sigh of relief as the days have finally come one by one. ⁣

Charlotte works at ITV on ‘This Morning’ and is a professionally qualified freelance Hair and Makeup Artist.

With over 17 years experience, Charlotte also specialises in Wedding Day Bridal Hair and Makeup across Surrey and London.

In 2003 Charlotte completed her industry-recognised training at the renowned world-leading Hair and Makeup School ‘Greasepaint’ in London, now the ‘Iver Academy’ at Pinewood Studios and went on to work for the BBC where she was for 8 years.

In 2009, Charlotte set up her own business ‘Make-up by Charlotte’ specialising in Hair and Makeup for Weddings, Television, Editorial Features, Proms, Special Occasions and Makeup Tuition and has since gone on to work at over 600 events across the UK.
