A dream weekend in the Lake District for Hannah & Connor’s three-day marquee wedding at home. 💫

As their UK wedding planner, I had the joy of planning every detail of this destination celebration — from a relaxed rehearsal dinner with bespoke cocktails, a super laid back menu of sliders and fries, to a heartfelt church ceremony and a marquee wedding reception filled with abundant flowers and personal touches.

Guests flew in from the US to celebrate with the couple in the most breathtaking setting. Highlights included a delicious dinner featuring the family’s own smoked salmon and wine from their vineyard, a packed dancefloor, fireworks, and a lakeside farewell brunch to round off a truly unforgettable few days.

It was such a pleasure to plan this beautiful (and exceptionally fun!) marquee wedding in the Lake District for the loveliest couple.

A gorgeous weekend at the ever-beautiful Heckfield Place 🌿

Our couple flew in for a full weekend of celebrations with exclusive hire of the estate. Things kicked off with a relaxed welcome dinner on Friday, followed by a heartfelt church ceremony and a reception full of colour, joy and personal touches on Saturday. Sunday was slow and easy, time to soak it all in with loved ones before heading home.

Planning destination weddings in the UK is always such an honour, especially when it’s for couples who are trusting us to bring everything together in a place they’ve never lived.

🌿 Happy Anniversary, Mo & Luke! 🌿

A year ago we welcomed guests from across the pond with a magical dinner at the Tower of London — a truly iconic start to an unforgettable wedding weekend. The following day, Chiswick House and Gardens set the scene for a breathtaking ceremony and celebration inspired by the romance of an English country garden… right in the heart of London.

Think joyful florals, incredible food, and an electric atmosphere fuelled by unforgettable entertainment. It was a celebration full of warmth, style, and so much love.

I’m still dreaming of Sarah and Ben’s breathtaking wedding at home in the Scottish Highlands this weekend!

An outdoor ceremony overlooking the loch, with a piper leading the way and the soft rustle of petals in the breeze… it was magical ✨. Guests sipped champagne and enjoyed canapés in the walled garden before sitting down to a sensational dinner by , featuring locally sourced ingredients, including venison from the estate.

After dinner? A packed dancefloor and an electric set from that carried the party late into the night.

This gorgeous celebration came to me through a referral from a precious client, and I’m forever grateful ❤️ I had the joy of working with Sarah, Ben and their families over eighteen months. By the time the day came, it truly felt like celebrating with old friends.

There’s something so special about the night before the wedding. All your favourite people gathered in one place, the anticipation, the laughter, the quiet moments in between.

We started this weekend of celebrations with champagne and canapés in the gardens, before moving inside the candlelit abbey for a relaxed and joyful dinner. No formalities, just good food, great company and the kind of warmth that lingers long after the plates are cleared.

The perfect beginning to a truly magical few days in the Suffolk countryside.

Hidden beneath the heart of Westminster, M&R exchanged vows in a candlelit crypt—an intimate, almost secret moment in one of London’s most historic settings. Then, as the evening unfolded, guests arrived at Chiswick House & Gardens, where a beautiful marquee, draped in the most incredible florals, felt like a countryside escape in the middle of the city.

There’s something so special about planning London weddings for couples who dream of celebrating here but aren’t quite sure where to start. Over the years, I’ve come to know all the little details that make a British wedding feel effortless—balancing tradition with personal touches, creating spaces that feel warm and inviting, and delivering the best weddings!

A Transatlantic Celebration in the English Countryside

When your guests are flying in from across the Atlantic, a wedding becomes more than just a day—it’s an experience, a beautifully curated weekend that blends elegance, tradition, and plenty of unforgettable moments.

For this celebration, the festivities began with a relaxed yet stylish rehearsal dinner, featuring a menu inspired by the bride and groom’s favourite dishes—a personal touch that set the tone for the weekend. On the wedding day, the couple got ready at home before exchanging vows in a charming local church, surrounded by loved ones. Guests then returned to the family home for an al fresco drinks reception, enjoying fine champagne and exquisite canapés (and amazing cocktails!)against the breathtaking backdrop of Lake Derwent.

As the evening unfolded, the marquee—filled with abundant, wild florals in vibrant pinks and playful hues—became the heart of the celebration. A beautifully curated wedding breakfast, heartfelt speeches, and a night of dancing under the stars, culminating in an epic fireworks display, made for an extraordinary atmosphere.

The weekend concluded with a relaxed brunch, where guests gathered over abundant grazing tables, freshly brewed coffee, and shared memories of an incredible few days.

MARQUEE WEDDINGS AT HOME

Getting married at home is undoubtedly extra special. Imagine building your very own wedding venue and having a day completely personal and unique. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of working with many families at their private homes to plan weddings and they are always so amazing!

Here’s a few of my favourite snaps from H&Ts wedding at home on their family farm last summer. From whizzing around the countryside in a vintage fiat 500, to oysters at the reception and a totally bonkers Apres ski band who flew in especially, this wedding was brilliant from start to finish ⛷️

My name is Senel and I am a luxury wedding planner based in Suffolk and I plan timeless, luxurious and elegant weddings across the UK and in Europe. It was after having spent many years planning corporate events that I realised I wanted to use my skills and connections to organise events that were far more personal, creative and unique. As a result of the skills I developed through my corporate career I am able to offer a calm, organised and logistical approach to wedding planning, while ensuring that every wedding is uniquely you.
