Comedy Brunch
Comedy Brunch is a brand new and essential monthly afternoon of multi-faceted entertainment that will have you splitting your sides, filling your bellies and dancing your socks off. The much anticipated launch night is a one-off celebration of London’s finest black comedy acts, with party starting DJs, bottomless fried chicken and rum punch on tap. Hosted by BBC Comedy and 1Xtra’s Aurie Styla.
As Aurie Styla says; “Everyone loves to laugh... and everyone loves food, so we had to put them together! At the Comedy Brunch, you can fill you your belly and laugh your abs back into shape. There’s no better combination.”
Each Comedy Brunch will offer a carefully curated mix of comedians at the top of their game, with endless amounts of award wining, delicious free range, expertly fried and crisp skinned fried chicken and fries, and soul warming rum until 1.30pm to add to the enjoyment. Halloumi Cheese Burgers and Vegan ‘Chicken’ dippers are available for vegans and vegetarians, and guests will be seated at long banqueting tables and encouraged to tuck right in until their heart’s content.
Comedy Brunch is hosted by Aurie Styla who has a quick flowing observational style that muses on contemporary black culture, while he’ll also have games to play, antics to involve you in and prizes to give away. The exciting headliners for the opening night are Judi Love, known as The Funny Fluffy, and someone who always keeps it real as she makes every day situations into hilarious bits, as well as starring in Comedy Central’s Drunk History series. Then comes the hugely dynamic Kane Brown with his real, raw and side splitting style. His delivery is razor sharp and is sure to have you spitting feathers. Last of all is Steve the Mad Man, a real man of the moment on social media and a genius in the art of creating engaging, funny content in bite-sized chunks for Snapchat. He will be taking over Comedy Brunch’s Instagram so make sure you’re not caught stuffing in too much chicken at once or you might get caught out.
