🥔 The Humble Spud🥔

Today, we took Albert Bartlett potatoes and turned them into something truly special!

First, we baked them in their skins, then scooped out the fluffy centers and passed them through a potato ricer for the smoothest mash. Half of the mix was transformed into potato gnocchi, enriched with Mrs Kirkham’s Cheddar and roasted garlic for that perfect bite.

But we didn’t stop there! The potato skins went back in the oven to crisp up, then became the base of a rich, umami-packed jacket potato skin Dashi broth.

Taking the humble spud to new heights—who’s hungry?

My basic recipe for Gnocchi

500g Dry Mash potato
350g Pasta Flour 00
3 Egg Yolks
Sea salt & pepper

Add together to form Dough
