I’ll be performing at this event in aid of Kidney Research UK and The Connor Saunders Foundation 🪄

Saturday 5th November 2022
The Grand Hotel Brighton

For more information about the event and how to purchase tickets, please see the post below 👇

Thank you to Share Your Wishes for inviting me along to perform 🙌

We are delighted to announce that this year we are holding the Share Your Wishes Black and White Gift of Life Ball at The Grand Hotel Brighton on 5 November 2022 with profits being split between Kidney Research UK and The Connor Saunders Foundation as we give thanks for the Gift of Life, and also celebrate with our Sarah as she turns 50, a milestone she is reaching thanks to organ donation. And it’s our FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF SHAREYOURWISHES. 🎉

Set perfectly amidst the city, the iconic Brighon seafront, and the stunning backdrop of the South Downs, The Grand Brighton was officially opened on 21st July 1864 to great fanfare and celebrated as the original ‘Palace By The Sea’. The now famous building was revered as a feat of Victorian architectural brilliance, masterfully designed by the celebrated architect John Whichcord Jr. Brighton's newest hotel boasted an impressive facade, ornate interiors, famously outstanding service, the very first lift outside of London - then referred to as 'vertical omnibuses'!

The beautiful hotel holds more than two centuries worth of stories - from the birth of a Royal baby to ABBA's famous stay after winning the 1974 Eurovision song contest - and has featured in several adverts, documentaries, films and television shows, such as Only Fools & Horses and iconic Brighton cult film Quadrophenia.

If you are interested in joining our Ambassador Sally Bee and the rest of us for this amazing evening at a stunning venue overlooking the sea on the Sussex coast, please email [email protected] with the amount of tickets you require. Ticket prices are £45 each (over 18’s only) and includes welcome drink, three course meal, glass of wine and entertainment provided by Rock Choir, Lewis Daniels, (transplant recipient and Paul Daniel’s grandson) and In Yer Face.

Ticket availability will close on 5 October 2022.

Any questions please do ask us and we look forward to meeting as many of you as possible as we give thanks for the Gift of Life. 💞

The grandson of the late Paul Daniels is creating some magic of his own through a podcast looking at the lighter side of life and also delving into the struggles of people living with kidney disease.

Lewis Daniels who is on his second innings thanks to a kidney transplant from his mum Jo, has interviewed a host of sporting guests for his podcast Transplants Take on Sport.

“Although I talk to guests from the world of transplant sport, I hope anyone can relate to it as it’s about overcoming obstacles to live a full and happy life,” says Lewis.

“Hopefully it’s inspiring to anyone who has had their health or life compromised in any way.”

The biggest compliment for Lewis came when his dad Martin noticed guests saying, “this is the first time I’ve spoken about it”.

"Being on the podcast put them at ease and gave them the chance to open up for the first time about deeply personal things.

“It’s a trip through lessons learnt in life, kidney stuff, humour, all mixed in with other nonsense that might come up which hopefully is a safe space to chat.”
