On Friday night we celebrated a 60th Birthday after doing his wife's 50th a couple of year ago. You may recognise their stunning dining room.

He enjoyed all of his favourite foods... Including an assemble at the table Black Forest Gateau.

"It was so nice that you just took over my kitchen and I didn’t have to do anything." – Liz

Yesterday, we had the absolute joy of helping Liz celebrate her husband’s 70th birthday. For once, she got to be a guest in her own home, and didn’t she just love it! 🥰

Surrounded by lifelong friends, it was a room full of love, laughter, and stories that only 70+ years of living (and 58 years of marriage!) can deliver.❤️

Honestly, some of the funniest and kindest people we’ve had the pleasure of serving in a long time.😅

A truly wholesome celebration for a wonderful man.😊

We left with full hearts (and sore cheeks from laughing).

A glimpse of Friday night!

Plus Three Nurseries turned 40 this month! So, as always, if you know Sue Butler she celebrated in style. 🥂Not only the anniversary but the end of the year for her and her team.

It's always a lovely thing when we support each other, not just as people but as local businesses.

All 3 of our kids started their early years with Sue and she was over the moon to have had a little surprise, with us bringing Niamh along to work her event.

Thank you Sue for being amazing. And even more so booking us in for 2026 already. 😍

David was definitely under pressure last week when we hosted a corporate BBQ. The client had opted for some of our Asian fusion menu items which we love doing but what we didn’t realise at the time was that the guests were flying in from across Asia.

As guests began to arrive, David was noticeably more nervous as he was now serving Asian fusion food to people who really knew their stuff.

But much to his relief and pride he received high praise from all the guests. The char siu pork belly, the satay chicken with noodle salad from the live cooking station, and the Malaysian chicken were particular favourites. In fact, the pork belly barely touched the table before it disappeared.

It’s safe to say David has now been certified by the region as an authentic Asian fusion chef.

Officially official. 😂

Last night, we had the pleasure of catering a 60th birthday celebration to remember.

Alfresco dining for 12, 12 bottles of champagne (and countless bottles of wine) later, the evening was nothing short of magical.

It was a night made perfect by:

✨ Wonderful company
✨ Exceptional food
✨ Flowing wine-at one point I had 2 bottles of champagne in hand as standard 😅
✨ Seamless service
✨ And even, believe it or not perfect British weather 🌞

It’s always fun when entertaining at home goes beyond just hosting friends and family.

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of catering for a new client who wanted to welcome his new team with a casual BBQ at home.

Traci reached out to us because her husband wanted her to enjoy the BBQ as much as everyone else. So, he enlisted his wife to get in touch with us and help plan the day.

And as always, when a DaChi BBQ happens, the sun came out in full force. ☀️

Traci got to truly enjoy being a guest in her own home.🏡

She even mentioned how strange it felt not to be running around doing all the things she’d normally be responsible for.🛒🛍️🍷🍺🍷🥩🔪

We took all the hassle away by providing both the food and the drinks.

All they had to do was choose the menu and invite their guests.😍

Later that evening, as they sat quietly on the patio reflecting while their guests sipped wine and enjoyed the atmosphere, I popped over to check in.

They told me they were in awe of how easy, calm, and relaxed entertaining at home could be.

They were so grateful to have had the chance to simply enjoy the experience—together.

We are now FULLY BOOKED for the summer.

Wow what a week! ✨

From a Royal Ascot lunch 🎩 to a posh picnic 🧺, and wrapping it all up with a BBQ today 🔥… what a ride!

It’s been packed with sunshine ☀️, laughter 😂, and a mix of new and familiar faces 🧡—all brought together by a shared love of delicious food 🍽️ and hassle-free entertaining 🎉.

Yesterday was the cherry on top 🍒: I bumped into so many of our lovely clients (always a treat!) and even brushed shoulders with Prince William 👑.

I mean, could the weekend get any better?
Well… maybe if a magical fairy 🧚‍♀️ had come round to clean the house 🧼 and sort the kids’ stuff for next week 🎒😅

Now, time for a well-deserved cold drink 🥂 and some serious feet-up time 🛋️!

We're still alive!

It's been a busy few weeks of celebrations, planning for celebrations, making DaChilli and selling DaChilli!

This week we are planning for an airshow, royal Ascot lunch, family BBQ and a super posh picnic from sports day.

Not to mention a few discovery calls to discuss some Autumn and Winter celebrations a 60th, Leadership Dinner, 40th & 50th!

Never a dull moment for us.

Another epic weekend!

Friday night saw us in Crowthorne for a beautiful belated surprise 60th birthday celebration 🎉🎂.

The birthday girl was left gobsmacked when her family decided to honour her milestone birthday — one that was sadly missed five years ago due to Covid — with a celebration she truly deserved 💖.

We were absolutely delighted to be part of this heartfelt moment ✨.

On arrival, the birthday lady recognised us — such a lovely touch, as she had always been curious about our service and finally got to experience it for herself 🥰.

Her daughter selected all her favourite dishes, and guests enjoyed a six-course meal with paired wines 🍽️🍷.

As always, the food was a hit — and the beef dish stole the show! 🥩

It was crowned * “the best beef dish” she’s had in her 65 years of life, even said to be better than a Michelin-star steak restaurant! ⭐

A massive kudos to David for that one! 👨‍🍳👏

The birthday lady also shared how wonderful it was to experience this at home 🏡 — especially as the grandkids 👧🧒 could be part of the celebration too.

No one had to constantly keep an eye on them like they would have in a restaurant 🍽️, which made it even more relaxed and special ✨.

Saturday night was just as special — our first BBQ of the year! 🔥🌞

We returned to an existing client's home for what we worked out was our 9th event with them 🙌.

It's always an honour to be trusted time and time again to deliver effortless hosting, allowing the hosts to be truly present with their guests 🥂💫.

We even got a couple of “We know you! We follow you on Facebook!” moments — two days in a row being recognised? 🏆😄

The BBQ was a sun-soaked afternoon in the garden 🌿, topped off with an evening in their stunning bar, where we were lucky enough to sample some top-shelf whiskies 🥃✨.

All in all, an epic weekend filled with laughter, good food, and meaningful moments 💕.

We are so grateful to spread love through great food and bespoke hospitality 🍴❤️.

Bring on the summer events — we cannot wait to celebrate with you all!

About us

My name is David and my wife’s name is Chido, we are the owners of DaChi's Restaurant to You. Our name was born by coincidence when planning our wedding back in 2014. We needed to create a password for our wedding website and wanted it to be something that relates to us both. We decided to use the first parts of both our names and the name DaChi was born!

I have a degree in Culinary cookery and Chido in Hospitality Management. Together we have over 3 decades of both academic and practical experience within the hospitality industry, having both worked for some of the most prestigious hospitality providers. We have an undoubtable passion for great food and great service, so much so, that we have boycotted going out, due to being continuously disappointed and opted for staying in creating our own restaurant experience. We believe staying in, is the new going out!

Once we realised that there are many that feel the same as us, we asked ourselves what can we offer that is different and what do people want? And so, the ground work began on DaChi with our key emphasis being on making quality dining experiences that are personalised to you. We love to make people happy through great food and service. Nothing gives us more pride, than creating a dish from scratch, presenting it to a customer and then seeing and hearing them genuinely loving it!

So how do we take our restaurant experience to you I hear you say?

In a few boxes of course!!

It starts with our suppliers, we only use fresh and local, we choose quality over provenance. Your menu is built around your celebration, preferences and tastes. Your evening is designed by you, from timings, to how the order of service runs, you are in control. Our wines are from the UK’s leading wine specialists. We pair a selection of wines to compliment your menu choices. Unlike a restaurant or other caterers our price includes everything, no extra charges on water, bread or service charge.

The hardest part of our restaurant experience is making the reservation!! After that we do everything, no hassle of whose turn it is to drive, booking taxis or baby sitters, doing groceries or even doing dishes!

On the day of your event we will arrive, you can relax and do what you please while we work effortlessly transforming your dining room into a beautiful dining area to wow your guests. As your guests arrive, see their awe as they are greeted by their personal chef and waitress for the night. So, with a glass of prosecco and canapés your evening begins. It’s a recipe for a very memorable evening and at the end of it all we clear everything up and leave your kitchen and dining room as we found it. Your evening continues of course because you are already home!!
