Just a little door posy….. 🩷
12/08/2024
Apologies for quietness on here. Life away from social media and flowers have been keeping me busy.
Just a very small selection of your beautiful orders over the last couple of months: special birthdays, anniversaries, thank yous, wedding and farewell flowers …..
This week is a busy one, but my order book will be reopening on Monday 19th August.
Please message if you would like to order some locally grown summer flowers ☺️💐

Bringing a little sunshine into the flower shed on this wet rainy morning…. Gracie is not very impressed 🐾💐

A selection of Cottage Acre Flowers’ arrangements leaving the flower studio this month, using only our own home grown flowers. Thank you for all your orders,
Marissa x

Just a little basket of Spring flowers to brighten my front door on another cold and mizzly day.
I found the hanging door basket on Amazon. Planning to change the flowers through the growing season. As the tulips fade….. what will be next to bloom ? ☺️💐

It’s not quite the right shape to be a ‘tussie-mussie’, but it IS a little posy of freshly picked flowers and foliage with meaning for a special friend. 🩷💐
27/04/2024
At , no two arrangements are exactly the same.
Each one, is a carefully curated selection of freshly picked flowers and foliage gathered within a colour palette that’s the best of what’s growing here in Leintwardine on a particular day ….
Sometimes it’s hard not to have a favourite 💜🩷💜

Hand-tied Spring Bouquet💐
Locally grown, picked, conditioned and arranged for a lovely subscription customer.

On the flower bench today …… ☺️💐
22/04/2024
More pretty Spring Mason jars going out of the flower studio this week, with or without a gift bag…. ☺️💐

It’s the simple things in life ….. 💚

Tulip season is going to be a short one this year……
Despite having planted a mix of earlies, mid-season and lates, Mother Nature dictates when they decide to flower, and it seems they are all doing their own thing and bursting into colour, ‘as one’!
The amazing colours, stem length and freshness make them a wonderful addition to a beautiful spring arrangement.
All locally grown in Leintwardine.
Please drop me a message if you know someone who would like an arrangement of these beauties, (enhanced with freshly scented mint/basil).
☺️💐

Spring in a mason jar ……..
One of yesterday’s arrangements heading out of the flower studio ……. before the blue sky disappeared to be replaced with a grey very wet and incredibly windy day! I was a bedraggled wind-swept mess by late afternoon! 😂

What a lovely Sunday spent with a very handsome (sadly only visiting) flower buddy. Such a treat. Thank you 🥰🐕💐

Oh how I have missed making up posies and bouquets over the winter months.
Please drop me a message if you would like some flowers for your kitchen table, flowers to say thank you, happy birthday, or …… just because it’s nearly the weekend! Where has this week gone?
🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
It’s good to be back ☺️💐

So looking forward to 2024’s season of flowers…. Counting down to 💐💐💐

Just a little ‘Spring faffing’, in between seed sowing and prep for the flower season ahead.
So looking forward to the promise of flowers again, to nurture, gather and create.

A little bit of flower faffing using THE VERY LAST of this season’s flowers, picked in a rare sunny moment today between torrential downpours 🧡🍂
24/10/2023
Autumn is here….🧡🍂
And, with the fire lit, what a perfect time to peel those crispy seed pods of Lunaria annua - Honesty.
So satisfying, to reveal the most beautiful, silvery, iridescent stems for dried winter arrangements.
Plus, the added bonus of so many seeds for future plants. 🤍🤍
15/10/2023
A day spent gathering the final dahlias for drying before the temperatures drop.
🩷🧡💛💜🤍

💚Easter Egg Tree💚Who loves an Easter ‘tree’ adorned with pastel eggs? Inside or out, on the kitchen table, in the hallway or on a patio table in the garden, it brings joy, and is really fun to make. The Easter Tree is a charming German tradition called Ostereierbaum. For centuries, German families have been decorating trees and shrubs outdoors, or making their own ‘tree’ to bring indoors using foraged, young blossom-strewn branches to be decorated with coloured wooden, or blown and painted eggs. It is a lovely tradition and now followed by many around the globe, bringing a pop of colour into our homes, in celebration of Easter. Mine was made with: Greengage, plum and pear branches from the flower plot, some leftover moss from Christmas wreath making and decorated with a mix of pastel eggs bought over a few years, and added to my growing Easter-time ‘stash’, to be brought out each year, to create a ‘tree of joy’. I love traditions …. 💚
Lots of work going on behind the scenes at Cottage Acre Flowers, to have beautiful flowers for this year’s gift bouquets, posies, weddings and events. Counting down to the new season….. Re-opening in April. #locallygrownflowers #scentedflowers #floralgorgeousness
