Hi everyone!

Sorry I have been so quiet since closing the shop but a lot has been happening. Firstly, my biopsy results came back OK but the consultant now wants me to undergo another procedure "just to be certain." I think they just like to see me suffer 🤣

Aaaand....I've only gone and been offered a job! It was completely out of the blue and to say I was surprised is an understatement. Anyhoo, I have accepted the offer and start in a few weeks. As a result I will have to close down Nicholson Flowers completely as I just won't have time (or energy) to do both.

It's funny how things work out isn't it? I'm now looking forward to the next adventure and seeing where that takes me but just want to thank you all for supporting our wee dream over the years ❤

Well, that's the door closed for good in Primrose Street 😥 I had a wee tear in my eye but refuse to be downhearted as I have loved every minute of it, apart from being frozen during winter maybe ☃️ I have met so many lovely people and will miss you all ❤

The plan now is to take time to get my new work space at home sorted out and once that's done I'll be back taking orders for fresh flowers 💐 but I think it will be at least a few weeks, maybe a month before I'm up and running again.

Thank you to my husband, Tony, who has supported me at every step, put up with my moaning and been my unpaid delivery driver and sweeper up 😁 We've been married for 33 years and he still managed to surprise me this morning with this awesome cake 🥰

Lastly, thank you all for supporting my wee business, for getting the word out about Nicholson Flowers and for all the blethers and laughs over the last few years 🌸🌸

Friday will be my last day in the shop so be sure to pop in before then. I am also looking for a new home for my big mirror and white stands. The mirror is approximately 46" by 34" and £15. The stands are from IKEA and originally meant to be TV stands but I used them to put my vases of fresh flowers on and £4 each.

Morning everyone, I'm in the shop this morning to start packing up and am slowly working my way round reducing everything. Rose bears were £28, now £15. The large rainbow rose bears were £36, now £25. Artificial flowers will be reduced by 50% and everything else will be greatly reduced too 🌸

Hello everyone,

Sorry I've been so quiet for a while but as you know I've been a bit poorly again. I had hoped to be open again by now but unfortunately it's just not happening. As a result I have made the difficult decision to close my shop in Primrose Street. This is the last thing I wanted to do but I can't afford to keep paying rent for a shop when I have no money coming in. The ongoing effect of the pandemic, continuing increases in the cost of goods, fuel and electricity have made it impossible to continue to offer you the quality and affordability I've always aimed for. I'm aiming to close the shop by the end of March but will be in the shop over the coming weeks to pack everything up. I will reduce everything I have (vases, pots, candles, artificial flowers etc) so pop in and grab a bargain. I'll post pictures of what I have as and when possible. Please be aware I won't have any fresh flowers for sale.

I'm awaiting the results of a biopsy I had recently and for the time being I am concentrating on my health but I hope to go back to working from home and will keep my page and website going.
Thank you to each and every one of you who has supported Nicholson Flowers. I have met so many lovely people and have loved having a blether with you. I will miss you all ###

What a busy first week back! Thank you to everyone who has popped in and ordered ❤

I had hoped to extend my opening hours this month but the insurance company dealing with our claim following our car accident has been worse than useless. It's now 7 weeks since the accident and we are no further forward, no courtesy car, nothing 😡 so hubby and I are having to share my wee flower van which means I will have to keep my hours at 10-2 for a bit longer.

That's me closed now for the holidays, all orders have been collected and delivered.

It has been quite a year what with lockdowns and my poor health and this month in particular has been crazy busy. Although the shop is not open every day I have been working 7 days a week so I'm ready for a wee rest now. Thank you all for your continued support, it really does mean the world. Here's hoping for a better 2022 with my continued better health so that Nicholson Flowers can continue to flourish.

I've opened a wee bit earlier this morning so if you have anything to collect feel free to pop in! I have very little left now in the way of fresh flowers, everything I do have has been reduced. Depending on collections and deliveries I am hoping to close early today but if you can't get in until later to collect don't worry, I will be here until the last order has gone 🎅

Lillies (orange) at £6/bunch
Carnations at £5/bunch
Spray chrysanthemums (red) at £5/bunch
Mixed bunches at £10
Red Freedom roses at £6/bunch

I also have 3 aqua boxes left at £40 each
