What is the traditional seating arrangement at the top table?
Traditionally the bride and groom are seated next to each other in the centre of the table, the bride being on the groom’s left. To the bride's left you would find her father, the groom's mother, and the best man. To the groom's right seated would be the bride's mother, the groom's father, and chief bridesmaid.
Nowadays other seating arrangements are increasingly common. Some couples opt for simply having a sweetheart table and seating their parents and bridal party at their own table, or with other guests. Others decide to sit with family only, including parents, siblings and sometimes even grandparents. A head table seating only bridesmaids and groomsmen with the bride and groom, or the maid of honour and best man alone, are other alternatives to consider. If the bride and groom have children, they may want to simply sit with their children alone.

To toss or not to toss? 🤔
Bouquet tossing is a very popular wedding tradition that has been passed down by generations.
Originally it was derived from the idea that touching anything that belonged to the bride on her wedding day would bring luck to the single woman hoping to find a husband soon.
Nowadays we like to believe that whoever catches the bouquet at a wedding will be the next one to get married.
The tradition can be seen as fun by some, while others choose to forgo it as it is rooted in the idea that being unmarried is "unlucky".

We are thrilled to have been featured on Amber and Muse last week with our modern fairytale editorial inspired by the shades of sunrise 😊
For this shoot we imagined that our couple first met on a bridge overlooking the river Thames in London, when they both suddenly stopped to take in the breath-taking view of a sunrise unfolding in front of them that morning.
The whole design was inspired by the gorgeous colours that paint the morning sky during a sunrise.
It doesn’t get any more romantic then this! 😍

Did you know you can use the colour wheel to find your perfect wedding colour scheme?
Colours on the wheel that are analogous, complementary, triadic, square, tetradic, and split complementary naturally look great together!
If you have more than two colours in your colour scheme choose one as your dominant colour, and use others as accents. Make sure to pay attention to the balance between warm and cool colours in your design.
