Carly joined the team at Hertfordshire Zoo in 2012, starting with admin and quickly gaining experience in guest services, experiences, and customer care.

Ten plus years later she is not only proficient in her position of PA to the Directors, but is expertly helping run the Zoo’s companies and charities 💡

📚📊Carly helped guide the directorial team through covid, making very difficult decisions and at times assisting every department. Especially with animal moves, zoo licencing, HR, H&S, training, staffing and volunteer inductions, to name a few.

👑 One highlight of the many charity events she’s organised was with TRH Princess Eugenie, patron of The Big Cat Sanctuary, where the Princess and Carly arranged a gala event at St James Palace back in 2019. Through this and more, Carly has helped inspire and raised much needed funds for conservation projects in the UK and around the globe.

Carly married Tyler Whitnall in 2021, and recently welcomed little Alfie into the world - and Carly is still playing a big role and helping from home 🥰

Her nominator wrote: “we are exceptionally proud of her, and she is well respected within our industry worldwide.

“Her door is always open and willing to help others."

The wonderful Neville MacKay (he owns My Mother's Bloomers in Nova Scotia) posted this back in 2014! ‘tis as true now (if not truer given how the world has changed) as it was then. We are exhausted just looking at everyone's posts and no-one ... well other than another florist ... knows just how hard Christmas is as you bring festiveness to everyone AND (if you are in cold climes) freeze your butts and fingers off in the process (-8 predicted in the UK ... really!!!). To all our amazing followers – wherever you are - a massive good luck for the next four and a bit weeks ... you are all AWESOME!
