Don’t throw your Christmas wreath out yet if it’s still looking good as as this one. Just carefully pick out the Christmassy bits and pop it back on your door or garden fence. Or just give it to me 🤣 - I had a swag this year so don’t have one - I love them slightly dried out 💕

No hardcore NY resolutions here. Instead we’re having a ‘slow flow’ January and making replacements for my favourite fingerless gloves 🧶💕. The pattern is Alexandra Brinck’s “Linda K’s Yummy Mummys’. Yarn Blue Sky Metalico Alpaca Silk in gold. Always the best things I ever knit.

My own Christmas flowers were a big bunch of gorgeous white amaryllis cut short & plonked into a simple hourglass vase. Super simple, but super striking and exuding total calm after the busyness of those Christmas florals.

And, the last for today….✨ another twist on the Traditional. This pre-ordered design has a gorgeous golden (near) natural bauble and a red trailing ribbon just out of shot ✨. These girls aren’t photographing too well - we can’t see any of the subtly gorgeous glisten and shine.

One of my very lovely friends was so horrified that I had to buy dried hydrageneas for christmas wreaths from the wholesalers that she took it upon herself this year to perfectly slow dry some for me. They are, by far, the best I’ve ever had. [My personal attempts have always been atrociously bad and ended up in the bin]. Thank you so much Julie, what a fabulous surprise, you’re the best 💕

The sprinkles and sparkles are gradually creeping in here so my fingers are itching to get going with this years bespoke Christmas wreath orders. I’m practising patience, but only just 🧚🏼‍♂️. Last year’s one off lime and purple seems to have found a lot of love this year with requests for something similar for some festive doors 🧚🏼‍♂️

A quick throwback to this time in 2019 when we (that’s myself @bunchesofhappiness_turvey with the help of my awesome pal the ace gardener and eco champion Judy Burridge of Market Harborough) had the absolute pleasure of designing and creating this super special eco-friendly Christmas installation at the very beautiful @lamport_hall in Northamptonshire for their Christmas 2019 events. Being a UK Listed Heritage building, materials had to be conservation standard & compliant: no oils, no vapours, no water, no direct contact between moss cages etc. and any fixtures and fittings etc. so we had to box clever with all our floral mechanics and create our own hidden supports and underpinnings to hold it all together and to lift it slightly off the actual staircase itself.
