A thousand thank you’s for the way you linked everything together so beautifully yesterday. We can see why you are in such demand, all the way through you were so easy to talk to and you kept us up to speed with what was happening at the various times. Gathering information when you don’t have a face to all the names must be very difficult. We can only admire and thank the heavens for every ‘Diane’ in the world.

Merv & I were particularly touched that in your closing words you chose to mention our Son Barry, that was so thoughtful of you and shows the natural empathy and sensitivity you bring to each service.

Thank you so much Diane, you made a very difficult day much easier to bear. My Mum would have loved her service.

Our van at Thorness Bay is now ready to take bookings !!! Im just keeping it to family and friends this year 🙂. It sleeps 8, has WIFI, and is pet friendly (If the pet isnt going to be left alone for long periods or time). Any Lord of the Ring fans out there? Did you know yesterday was ‘Tolkein Reading Day’, and as a funeral celebrant, it's a reminder of the beautiful passages we often incorporate into our ceremonies. One such passage is from 'Bilbo's Last Song':

"Day is ended, dim my eyes, but journey long before me lies.

👮‍♂️💙 Sharing a special piece of my heart today - a cherished old photograph of my dear Dad, a proud Southampton City policeman, on his bike. 🚲

As a funeral celebrant, I've had the privilege of meeting many families whose husbands and dads served in the police alongside my own father. The stories and memories we've shared together have been truly heartwarming - from reminiscing about being the kid with a policeman dad and having to be quiet when he was on night shift to laughter-filled tales of the police club Xmas parties, swimming night adventures and touring the cells.

Policing runs deep in our family's veins. 🌟 My sister worked in the police library, my brother-in-law and I also served, but my dad himself dedicated his life to serving our community with pride and integrity. 💙

It's moments like these that remind me of the profound connections we share and the privilege it is to look after local families during their times of need. 🕊️

Concert Alert !!!

My Rock Choir are singing in a concert on Saturday 27th April, and you are all invited !!

We are singing in a concert to raise awareness of those living with Long Term Neurological Conditions whilst also raising money for three key support groups.
Its being organised by Hedge End Rockies and will take place at West Hill Park School Titchfield PO14 4BS

We will be raising money for The Motor Neurone Disease Association, Parkinsons UK and The Multiple Sclerosis Trust
Tickets are just £5.00.
