Winning by a huge margin and made me think they would give some our previous winners Melandy and the Mighty Vikings a tough time!
Poor Puns and Hoses thought they had it easy not seeing any of the above in and then Never gonna quiz you up add mum and dad to last weeks weeks team and storm it!

It's been a while but the Fun Brigade finally took top spot tonight.
With a little help from the mystery round which seemed to be there thing they caught up grabbed first place and managed to stay there with 20 evil round questions and the nearest wins question still to go which is no mean feat as they know being Druids Quiz regulars one wrong answer and another clever team is in but they were clever and careful and came away with a long awaited win.
I think 2 extra friends may have helped but it does go to show that the mystery round can really make a difference if it's 10 questions on your favourite subject and you hold your nerve, once you've used it well the win can be yours.
And don't forget I have taken all other teams requests in and I'm searching for them to put in over the future quizzes as well as some all round favourites that everyone knows and loves.
I can't make any promises but if you know me you will know I will always try to look after my regular teams.
So any ideas do feel to suggest to me in person next time or pop it on here
So the next time will be yours.

After numerous close calls and very close seconds and thirds they finally did it.
Although neither of our usual winners in there was going to be a new winner anyway but with a score they got tonight I think they will be contenders for the future top spot if they play like that again big teams or not.

Well it went exactly as I had told everyone tonight.
A new team played very well for their first at the Druids with thanks to doing a Speed Quiz at their home town before moving to Maidstone
And it was back and forth between them (Meredith Slay) Ange Ball who it was great to see back and playing well as usual and Cookies and Cream who put in a very good shift tonight.
These three played scoreboard leapfrog throughout the night swapping 1st 2nd and 3rd place between them with the Mighty Vikings creeping up the board bit by bit round by round till finally do what they do best putting their foot on the gas in the last round and playing great going from near the bottom to top of board once again.

Well first of all I'd like to say thanks to all you that came tonight whether it was planned or not you all gave very generously especially ones who gave well over the entrance fee!
You'll be pleased to hear we made over £100 between us to the fantastic charity that is Macmillan Cancer support.
Congratulations to Tay Tay our winners of our music themed quiz but it wasn't easy as the Mighty(musical Vikings)who are regular champions weren't giving up without a fight and the Dog beers team (great name) were very good too!
Thank you all for coming and giving.

Ok I've escaped and am doing another post just in case you folks missed it.
It's the end of the month so we're doing a Music theme night and we are teaming up with Macmillan Cancer support to have some fun and give to a great cause.
It's just £1 per person to play and all that goes to the charity.
I've been beavering away since I got back from hospital and have put together some great fun rounds all Music based of course but there will be a few different bits including finish the lyrics an audio guess the tune/song plus as we now have our great new 10 question mystery round you will get a choice of 3 to choose from which will be a little different from the rest.
Plus the usual rounds you know and love
So if you haven't been for a while here's a great excuse to get out and give generously plus maybe win some great prizes.
So let's see all you Druids quiz legends tonight.
P.s Anyone dressed in the green Macmillan colours get extra points and that goes for doggies too!

Hi Gang!
I know I usually do this on the day but I'm in hospital and standing in the only place with a WiFi signal so better be quick.
It's our Macmillan Music quiz tomorrow just £1 entry per person all going to that great charity wear green stuff for extra points big prizes and big fun

Another fun night at the Druids With Puns and Roses back after a while away and winning.
Next week is our music theme quiz together with a charity night for Macmillan Cancer just £1 each entry all going to the charity.
Dress in green for extra points as that's the charities colour.
