Further to previous posts on this matter, the procedure I had a while ago was in fact a colonoscopy. I am grateful for the excellent service of the NHS and the team at the BRI. I am putting this out on Facebook as a reminder for everyone that we should talk about such matters. Also to go for all the tests that are open to us even if like me you have had little or no symptoms. The only symptom I has was an urgency to go sometimes and rarely not get to a toilet in time but I have had that problem for a long time. I received the stool test in.the post a long time ago but didn't actually do.it until a few weeks ago. It was just left on the bathroom sink for months. I was surprised to find out that the test showed that there was something wrong and I should get it sorted. I missed the first telephone consultation because I was at work but called them back for the second one. I didn't really expect to be called in for the colonoscopy but I am glad I did. They actually found 4 polyps, 1 near the entrance and a cluster of 3 near the end. I was told that they were small and looked OK and they managed to get them out without any blood loss. I am still waiting for the results but I know that things could have been a lot worse if I hadn't actually done the test or delayed it any longer. I am hoping that it was done in time and that all will be all right.

In case you have missed me I haven't been around for quite a while because I have been practicing with my guitar, which has been my main priority. Started with my first cheap acoustic guitar 6 about 6 weeks ago and have recently treated myself to an excellent electro acoustic guitar. I will be back out there after I have learnt a few new songs.

Busking Bob is hoping to be back out around Bristol Harbourside or Broadmead this weekend. I have been ill with a chest infection (not Covid related) for a while. I have a spare microphone so anyone can join in the fun and sing!

Oh yes, Father Christmas will be listening to and dancing along with one of his favourite bands Trip For Biscuits at the German Christmas Market in Broadmead from 4.00pm to 6.00pm. Yeah, my first time at the Open Mike night at The Shakespeare Pub in Totterdown which I didn't Open went OK
We did a sound check and all was well but for my first two songs we couldn't get the volume up high enough on my backing tracks. Anyway, as always "The Show Must Go On" and I just carried on regardless. Next time things will be better.

So, I am on my way to opening tonight's Open Mike night at The Shakespeare Pub in Totterdown. Am hoping it will prove to be a treat to everyone there and not a trick. Not too sure how I am going to do the Facebook event as I will be singing. Still not entirely over my "man flu" but at least it is not Covid related and "The Show Must Go On"

So, after a bit a break from singing in public due to my "man flu" - stop it - Buskingbob is opening up the Open Mike night at The Shakespeare Pub in Totterdown tomorrow night. I will be appearing live from about 8.15pm. Have been practicing a few songs a bit tonight at my place and it went OK. My first song will be "The House of The Rising Sun" by The Animals. Apparently I get to sing 3 songs, but will see how it goes.

Hi guys, sorry I have been a bit quiet on here. I have been suffering from what some people call "man flu" lately. So, I could not go out and about busking last weekend. I will be getting round to adding some photos, videos and a few songs I have recorded live while busking. I will be back out next weekend around Broadmead of the Harbourside.
