Music Arran Annual General Meeting

📅 Tuesday 29th October at 6.30pm

If you have enjoyed live music, and would like it to continue, please come along and support this meeting.

We have a committee of 6 very willing members, and share the load as well as we can, but it would be a lighter load, with more help.

If you can help at all, either at concerts, with accommodation, or helping to plan the programme, keeping in touch with musicians or helping with publicity, please either come to the AGM, or if you can't, let us know what you can do.

We try to limit our concerts to six per year, but there is quite a lot of work involved in each one. We probably only meet as a committee six times a year too.

📣 Friday 30th August 📣 - get the date in your diary as that is when the McLellan Arts Festival will be kicking off this year in Whiting Bay Village Hall!

Opening night of the festival will be McLellan Sessions - "A foot stomping evening of Traditional Music" with Arran music uber legends Gillian Frame and Findlay Napier.

There will also be music and stories from other Arran local talent.

Please support these talented musicians tonight who’ve eventually made it over on ferry!

Dear all
As you will be aware, the ferry has been disrupted today and Iain Clarke and Richard Schofield, are still hoping to come to Arran. They are in Ardrossan, waiting to hear if the 6'oclock ferry is going to sail. The 4.40 is going over, but berthing is not guaranteed. Can I ask you to check the CALMAC web-site before setting out to come.
If they manage to get here ,it would be wonderful to give them a really warm ARRAN WELCOME, so please do come if you can. We may need to start at 7.45, instead of 7.30, to allow them to draw breath. So hopefully see you in the High School Theatre later on.
