International Women's Day is thought to have been celebrated since 1911, when the day was first observed across Europe and America.
On March 8, 1946, feminists in Italy chose the mimosa flower as a symbol of strength, sensibility, and sensitivity to gift and receive on Women's Day.

They've just announced that since their last donation in September, they have raised a whopping £1000 for the charity. This includes further donations from customers and an extra top-up by the Garden too.
