The weeks are truly flying past this summer! Already a week since we hosted Jess & Ben and their family and friends for their special day. Lovely to receive these preview pic from and look back on a day filled with love and laughter. We’ve another busy week here so keep an eye on our stories for some behind the scenes. As always we’re super grateful to all the fabulous suppliers who tag us and share the Barns & Yard love!

Time for another Testimonial Tuesday! This time it’s some lovely words from Tom & Charlotte….”We are yet to think of an appropriate adjective to summarise how blown away we were by the venue, but more importantly, the people behind the venue! First of all, this was the one and only venue we viewed when looking at potential venues. We loved it so much that we didn’t even bother attending any other scheduled viewings at other venues because we knew instantly that this was where we wanted our wedding to be. It is STUNNING! And the love, care and attention to detail that has been put in becomes evident the minute you walk in. The standard that everything has been done out to is a real credit to the team. The barns, the courtyard, the lawn, the cottages, the bar, everything was to an impeccable standard and wowed us each time we visited, and certainly wowed all of our guests on the day! But surprisingly, the most impressive thing about Barns & Yard isn’t the venue… it is the Team. You guys are honestly amazing and Charlotte and I can’t thank you enough for making our day as memorable as it will be! If anyone is thinking of booking Barns & Yard and if seeing the quality of the venue won’t sway you, then meeting the team certainly will. The whole day was perfect and ran like clockwork. Nothing was too much to ask and every little thing was taken care of, meaning that we were free to enjoy our special day. Don’t tell my wife, but I will definitely be having my next wedding at Barns & Yard 😉”

Happy floral Friday! We love seeing our barns adorned with all the beautiful blooms throughout the seasons, there’s just so many stunning colours, textures and creative designs. We have some super talented florists on our suppliers list so you’re in safe hands when it comes to bringing your flowery dreams to life! We’re also on hand to help repurpose your ceremony florals so they can be enjoyed for the rest of the day. Top tip from our florists is to look at what is in season 12 months before your wedding day, then you can get an idea of the flowers which might be available. It’s also a lovely idea to gift your flowers after your wedding to friends and family, or ask you florist if they can suggest any local hospices or care homes who might like to share the flowery love!

Phew! We’re well into wedding season and we’ve just sat down after hosting another wonderful wedding this weekend but wanted to pop on and wish you all a Happy Father’s Day. It’s always a lovely moment when dad sees his ‘little’ girl in her wedding dress for the first time and proudly walks her down the aisle. We also know it can be a tricky time when dad may not be present for those important occasions so we’re also raising a glass to all the other great guys, brothers and others who step up for these special moments.
