Geldard’s Quiz has provided quiz nights to local venues since 2008. We currently run weekly quiz nights at The Penny Gill Rock Bar, Spennymoor every Thursday night, and the Neil Adams Sports Bar at Spennymoor Town Football Club, both with first rounds at 8pm. We use the latest technology to provide a great quality quiz night that you won’t find anywhere else – the traditional quiz presentation is

accompanied by questions displayed on a large screen, or TV screens at the venue. This also allows us to provide rounds which include film clips or visual puzzles.

A reminder that there is no Quiz tonight at the Penny Gill Rock Bar.

Due to the Bank Holiday weekend, we are also taking a break this Sunday from Spennymoor Town Football Club.

Both quizzes return to normal next week - have a great weekend!

I'm very sorry to hear that my friend and avid quizzer Ian Phillips has passed away.

Ian was a regular fixture at my Sunday night quiz at the Moors Tavern prior to lockdown, and always got a lift home from me after the quiz, when we'd have many a chat.

Ian was also an experienced quiz master, and throughout the years, we regularly shared quiz rounds for use across our venues.

A lovely guy who will be missed by so many people. Rest in peace.
