Perfect for a sunny day, these poke bowls were a big hit on set this week. A choice of beef tatiki, sesame salmon or marinated tofu, served with Sushi rice, sesame soba noodles, carrot & cabbage salad with soy & maple dressing, pickled ginger & cucumber salad, avocado & lime, red pepper & radish salad, seaweed, edamame beans, vegan wasabi mayo, soy dip and a wedge of lime.. the boxes were jam packed.!

For me and so many others all over the world, food is integral to all of life’s big celebrations. Birthday, weddings, family celebrations and even funerals. It’s the thing that brings us together. Reminds of the ones we love. It ties us to each other and our sense of self. Food brings joy, even under the saddest of circumstances. We never take our clients or events for granted and it’s a privilege to be part of so many amazing and important life events. We catered for a lovely life celebration last week and what a lovely Google review they left. “We asked Sarah from “Taste the love “ to provide a buffet for my mother in laws funeral . .From the very beginning there was good communication and professionalism from Sarah . When we arrived at the venue the buffet was set out beautifully , covered and labels describing the many delicious dishes . Everyone was catered for …vegans , vegetarians & carnivores!
It was colourful , tasty and completely delicious. Everyone complimented “The taste of love “for their outstanding variety and delicious savoury and sweet food .”

The places we call a kitchen can change quite drastically.. what a cavernous space to cook in. Being part of a wonderful memorial for a total powerhouse of a human & catering for over 500 people. How many lives touched, felt pretty special to be part of and serve some of his favourite food. There was a lot of brownies!

A few days in the sunshine, but never really “off” …Caught in work mode at the airport. Loved Morocco. Feeling topped up with all life’s good stuff, sunshine, nature, food and family and super excited to be back in work this week. We are hiring! Do you want to join our team and help create delicious food for lovely faces? Are you passionate about creating yummy food, hard working, organised, don’t mind starting work early (and finishing early!) very rarely having to work evenings or weekends. Hours starting at around 20 hours a week with a view to increase to full time hours.

The ideal candidate can drive, have a passion for creating new dishes and can bake, think on their feet and use their initiative. They have great time management and are good at multitasking.

Food is the simplest way to enrich your life every day. Flavour, colour and celebration is what drives us. We believe in cooking from scratch, using the best quality seasonal ingredients, supporting local businesses and using eco-friendly products. We only have one life and one planet. Food should be celebrated and life is too short to eat a bad meal.

We cater for all varieties of events including weddings, shoot catering, all day event catering, corporate catering, canape parties, business lunches, summer parties, Christmas parties, birthday parties, Anniversaries, funerals and everything in between.
