Wedding + Events Open Day 🌟

And a beautiful day for it too. We will be showcasing one of our 10-Mile Menu dishes, none other than beef from Hollands Farm and local Venison, straight off the BBQ. We will be barbequing all day long for you, a selection of different complimentary dishes will be available for you to try along with a cocktail or two. Come and visit, a great chance to meet the wonderful Hollands Farm team and a whole host of event and wedding suppliers. Food, Drink and Entertainment - a wedding and event open day not to be missed.

Beautiful Buffets, Delivered and Served ✨
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful thank you email than this….
“I wanted to thank you and your team for all your help on Saturday. You were all so efficient and helpful setting up the table and getting the drinks table ready. Once you had swung into action I relaxed and realised I was in very capable hands.

The canapés were delicious and the girls were so attentive and charming mingling with the guests.

The lunch was really good and looked so attractive set out on the table, my guests were very complimentary about it.
The prawn salad and chicken were very tasty. There l was certainly plenty of it !

I especially loved the puddings , I managed to get the last choc pudding and I had some lemon tart later in the evening which was also delicious.

I was so pleased that everything went off so smoothly, thanks to you and your team.
I must also thank you for clearing up and leaving my kitchen so spotlessly clean !

It was such a help that you kindly took the empty bottles, thank you. I hope today you can have a well earned rest before your next event, it was a great lunch party and I thoroughly enjoyed it all !

Happy National Cheese Lovers Day
We are a nation of cheese lovers, according to reports the UK cheeee market is set to grow by 7% annually through to 2028. We are lucky to be surrounded by artisan producers in Oxfordshire who we call upon to supply us with a delicious selection of cheeses and accompaniments for weddings and events. From cheese wedding cakes, after dinner cheese boards to grazing tables and not forgetting all the cheese we use in canapés and all our other dishes. Cheese is a much loved and valued ingredient. Yes please to cheese from us!

Hey 2024 let’s go, go, go 💥💥
Our 1st event of 2024 saw our team welcoming 360 guests for pre conference drinks + canapés for the Oxford Farming Conference. The OFC is a leading international conference which is held in Oxford for farming and agribusiness. The OFC’s mission is to inform, challenge and inspire more than 600 plus delegates & hundreds more who attend online, to resonate and be a force for positive change throughout the industry.

On offer were a selection of hearty canapés, all made with local ingredients from some of our much loved food + drink producers:

New Years Eve Canapé Inspo 🌿
Beef sliders with cheddar, tomato + lettuce with burger mayo in a gluten free brioche bun. Or how about bean burger sliders or be totally different and offer charred salmon with mango salsa + avocado salsa.
In our opinion a slider is always a winner when served at a party. When choosing canapés, choose a few that are more on the substantial side along with a few that are lighter, we suggest serving 6 as that gives a really good choice for your guests.

Just a casual Tuesday evening ✨

We eked out the last of the summer with Pimms and Rose as guests arrived
Our team welcomed over 400 overseas guests with delicious canapes and a selection of bowl food amongst the dinosaurs. Always such an impressive space for entertaining.
Last night was our very last pre-covid event, we started the planning in 2019, when covid took over the world the conference party was postponed to 2023. We lost count of how many events we re scheduled and re planned, as a company we are so grateful that you re booked with us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every re scheduled event and new booking. 🤍🤍🤍

Reliving and remembering one truly epic wedding 🤍
When Rebecca called us to discuss wedding catering, we knew it was going to be a wedding we wouldn’t forget for all the right reasons. We had the best time planning it from start to finish, their love of food, wine and fun transpired into their day so beautifully. Every meeting and ignore call was full of laughter and happiness. When R & G’s wedding gallery landed in our inbox, it was a delight reliving the day again. Here are just a few images from their magical day.

From Tasting to Reality 💫
Seeing a menu written down on paper or on your screen is one thing, seeing it cooked in front of you and being able to discuss the flavours and presentation is another. At a food tasting we discuss everything from portion size, seasoning, what it’s served on and how it’s served to overall happiness of taste. Showcasing a beautiful summer BBQ we recently catered at for a wonderful foodie client. Looking toward to doing it all again for them next year.

Its Friday, that can only mean one thing, the weekend. Nothing beats a packed dance floor at a wedding, drink in hand and dancing the night away. The Museum of Natural History in Oxford, one incredible wedding and events space. Totally versatile, you can truly make it your own.

All the joys of spring 🌿

We recently attended a lovely event at Adwell House, their annual Daffodil Day in aid of Sobell House. Adwell House is set within 4 acres of gardens and has its own chapel. Uber talented Head Gardener, Colin Roberts works so hard all year to make sure the gardens always look their best and they really do. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to breath-taking backdrops for your wedding photos, a truly unique venue. Each season bursts with new colours and surprises in each area of the garden.
If you are looking for a countryside wedding venue, Adwell most definitely ticks all your boxes.

Setting you up for the day ✨ The best way, a breakfast selection fit for a Queen. Our breakfast menu offers a huge selection of hot items as well as continental, something for everyone.

Hands up for Pancakes 🥞

Fluffy, thin, savoury, or sweet. Whether you had them at breakfast or looking forward to eating them later… Shrove Tuesday is so much fun.

Our simple to follow recipe:

100g plain flour
300ml milk
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon of sunflower oil

Put all your ingredients together, whisk and rest for a short while, oil your non-stick pan. Heat the pan + cook each side for 60 seconds, flipping them over to cook each side until they are golden.

Now the question is, what will you have on yours?
Lemon, caster sugar, Nutella, Biscoff, fruit, maple syrup, ice cream, compote…too much choice!

Back at it ✨

Sorry we have been so quiet of late, we have been head down seeing venues, hosting tastings, catching up with much needed admin and generally getting ourselves ready for the year ahead. I forget to keep you updated with news and stories of what we have been up to. We have some really lovely projects that we will be sharing with you soon and exciting news of new supplier and venue collaborations.

Last year took us by storm, we couldn’t believe our luck with the couples and clients that we got to work with. One particularly special couple is this one here. A truly brilliant day. Blessed with gorgeous weather, a BBQ in the sunshine with pizza and fireworks late into the evening. Wedding cake made by us, thanks to our Claire for making it look so beautiful and not melt in the heat!

Those in between days ✨
Are nearly over. When you ask what day of the week it is, is it to early to have another festive drink and long, lazy lie-ins. Not long until the team is back, but for now we are enjoying a lovely break, reflecting on what was a busy and enjoyable 2022 year of parties and weddings.

That’s a wrap 🎄
December came and went in a flash. The last two Decembers have been floored by Covid so to have an action packed month of events and parties was brilliant. Thank you to each and every client, venue and supplier for coming on this journey with us. We are downing tools for a couple of weeks to enjoy the festivities.
