Newington House, Oxfordshire ✨
The beauty about this venue is you hire it for large marquee weddings or small intimate ceremonies and receptions. An hour from London, 20 minutes from the centre of Oxford, nestled in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.
We are a mere 10 minutes away, making us super local to the venue. Over the years we have catered for some truly amazing weddings, partied and events.
We are really looking forward to being back at Newington in 2025.

Happy New Year ✨
Nothing says New Years Day more than a lavish spread of good food. Throw back to a post wedding recovery brunch with anti pasti, full English breakfast selection, oysters, fresh fruit and breakfast canapés. Complete with bloody Mary’s, mimosas, wood fired pizzas, freshly baked muffins, juice selection, the choice was endless. Something for everyone. A fine feast following an amazing wedding.

Reflecting on some of our memorable weddings and parties that we have been a part of in 2024. One wedding in particular that stands out was Scarlett and Richard’s, an evening of spectacular singing, dancing, dinosaurs and endless laughter. The Museum of Natural History, Oxford was beautifully transformed with festoon lighting in the centre court, stylish long tables upstairs in the gallery and flowers by were seasonal and elegant.

The Divinity School at The Bodleian looking as festive as ever. We welcomed guests with canapés and mulled wine, informal dining with a two course buffet menu finishing with a lavish cheese selection, desserts and Christmas cake.

Here’s to Roast Turkey, Roasted Sweet Potato with Marshmallows, Creamed Corn, Pumpkin Pie amongst friends and family. Today is all about you a beautiful, bountiful spread of food.
We have thoroughly enjoyed all our baking and making today.

Trick or Treat 🎃
Having some serious fun today, our Workplace Catering clients enjoyed a delicious themed lunch menu.
Starting off with Gooooooooooolash 👻 that’s Hungarian Beef Goulash to you and me with Worm Pie. A rich chocolate mouse in disguise, along with themed cupcake deliveries to office teams. Happy Halloween, hope you are having a good one 👻🎃👻

Having just returned from his US tour and recently announcing his UK and European dates, Ed will be treating guests to an exclusive pre-tour performance on Saturday 14th September.

Our Lamb Catering and Events team will be on hand with a fantastic selection of drinks at the bar and grab yourself one of our famous Burritos with beef from none other than Hollands Farm.

As the end of August approaches, we look forward to the next season and all the fun it brings. Our 2024 wedding season has ended, blessed with some amazing couples along with venues, planners and suppliers. Today we reflect on a truly beautiful August wedding from last year, an absolute gem that we will treasure forever. Hope you had a wonderful 1st Wedding Anniversary x

The summer of 2024, the year of the BBQ 🔥
We have done more barbecues this summer than ever before. From school and corporate events to elegant dinner parties, birthday celebrations and just because parties.
At the beginning of June we catered a beautiful event and served a classic dish straight from the BBQ. Queen Scallops with King Prawns & Garlic Butter with Avocado and Toasted Sourdough. A really simple but well received first course to open the rest of the evening with.

Wedding + Events Open Day 🌟

And a beautiful day for it too. We will be showcasing one of our 10-Mile Menu dishes, none other than beef from Hollands Farm and local Venison, straight off the BBQ. We will be barbequing all day long for you, a selection of different complimentary dishes will be available for you to try along with a cocktail or two. Come and visit, a great chance to meet the wonderful Hollands Farm team and a whole host of event and wedding suppliers. Food, Drink and Entertainment - a wedding and event open day not to be missed.

Beautiful Buffets, Delivered and Served ✨
We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful thank you email than this….
“I wanted to thank you and your team for all your help on Saturday. You were all so efficient and helpful setting up the table and getting the drinks table ready. Once you had swung into action I relaxed and realised I was in very capable hands.

The canapés were delicious and the girls were so attentive and charming mingling with the guests.

The lunch was really good and looked so attractive set out on the table, my guests were very complimentary about it.
The prawn salad and chicken were very tasty. There l was certainly plenty of it !

I especially loved the puddings , I managed to get the last choc pudding and I had some lemon tart later in the evening which was also delicious.

I was so pleased that everything went off so smoothly, thanks to you and your team.
I must also thank you for clearing up and leaving my kitchen so spotlessly clean !

It was such a help that you kindly took the empty bottles, thank you. I hope today you can have a well earned rest before your next event, it was a great lunch party and I thoroughly enjoyed it all !
