And what a weekend....Belfast has Pride, the Sailortown Festival, The Eastside Arts Festival, Tradfest....We've even got Spain playing France in the UEFA U19 Euro finals at the National Stadium

Belsonic comes to a close this weekend with two very different acts, but both guaranteed to give a great night's entertainment

Access to Ormeau Park, like many other concert venues, is difficult for all cars including taxis as there are normally restrictions and road closures. If you need a taxi, our staff can advise where our drop off and pick up locations are for the shows - just give us a call on 02890 333 333

New temporary bus lanes will come into operation in Belfast from Monday 1 July. the DfI have introduced these because of the works on surrounding roads as part of the construction of the new transport hub.

With any change, there's always the chance of increased traffic and congestion, and this may have an effect on taxi journey times and routes, so please take this into account when booking

We know we don't always get it right - unfortunately there are so many factors from traffic and roadworks to the weather that can affect journeys, that its impossible to deliver up to 100,000 bookings a week and get every single one perfect (although we do try). If we do get it wrong you should tell us - We have a fantastic Customer Services Team who investigate and respond to any queries you send us.

Its also great to hear from customers when drivers or staff members exceed your expectations, and this is a great example of that - thank you for your kind words, and we're delighted we were able to get you home safe and sound

Over an average week we can get as many as two hundred lost property enquiries...over a bank holiday maybe even more - its why we have a great Customer Services Team and why you need to complete a lost property form so we can keep track of every enquiry

Sometimes if the taxi hasn't been booked its difficult to track an item, other times the item may well have fallen on the ground as you got in or out of the vehicle - there can even be times when the passenger following you has taken your item home with them, perhaps mistakenly believing it to be theirs, but we always check and do our best to reunite you with the item you lost

Its not always an easy task, and we appreciate it can be stressful if you've lost something important. That makes it all the nicer when we receive messages like this

Please be careful with your items when in any taxi and make sure you check and take everything with you when your journey is complete

Judging by the increase in traffic on the roads this morning its the first day back after the holidays for many - we hope you had a great break and getting out of bed this morning wasn't too bad

Plans changed?

If your plans change, no problem, please just let us know as soon as possible. Late cancellations and “No shows” cost drivers time and money in fuel, and most importantly mean that their taxi isn’t available for another customer which could be you. Cancelling when your taxi is on its way to you, or even worse when its outside doesn’t help anyone and we discourage it

While we were all watching Football, GAA, Rugby and Boxing at the weekend, the worlds oldest half marathon took place in Elche in Spain, and Gavin Megahey from Belfast, who now lives and works in Murcia in Spain, finished it in a fantastic 1:31:50. Whether you are already a driver for another depot or are thinking of becoming a driver for the first time, you can find many of the answers you’ll need at https://sites.google.com/view/driving-for-fonacab/home

fonaCAB sponsor a lot - how do I apply?

We ask that all applicants complete the same form in the first instance. This ensures that all applicants are treated in the same objective fashion. You will find the form at www.fonacab.com/requests

Why can’t I get a taxi?

There are some times of the week such as rush hour or evening weekends where demand outstrips supply. This can be even more so if the weather is bad, in the run up to Christmas or if there are major sporting events on concerts on. We will always endeavour to provide you with a taxi but sometimes that is beyond us and you may experience delay in booking on either our APP or on our telephone numbers. We advise customers who have specific departure times to contact us and book as early as possible and you will maximise your booking opportunity by contacting us with your requirements at least 24 hours in advance

I’m having some APP problems - can you help?

Sure. Our App is available and compatible for the latest IOS and Android versions. It has been downloaded over 100,000 times and is used on at least 60,000 journeys a week. While we recommend it as the best way to book your fonaCAB, we do have customers who occasionally come up against issues - some of these are addressed below

I cant get registered on my iPhone? - full instructions for registering on iPhone can be found at https://sites.google.com/view/installing-on-ios/home

I’m having difficulty adding a new card? - Most accounts are set up to allow a maximum of two cards. If you have a new one, or are replacing one, you should delete any old or unused cards as you go.

I haven’t received my 4 digit verification code? - Please make sure that the number you have entered is correct. Some users have found that prefixing their number with +44 and dropping the first zero has helped

The App is telling me I’m out of Area - what does that mean? The App is not faulty. This message comes up when you are outside the area that we can take APP bookings from. If you see this message you can still book, but please do so by calling us instead

The timer on the APP is spinning around? This message, and sometimes an error message, will be displayed if we are fully booked at that time and you will not be able to place your booking

The App is not taking my booking? At extremely busy times it is sometimes necessary to pause App bookings until the peak has passed. We appreciate not being able to book might be frustrating, but our experience is that managing extremely busy times like this provides a better experience for our passengers
