Hello, my name is Rachael, (the person behind Flo & Burt) and I love designing and creating Wedding Stationery! If I can make your Wedding Day even more special by creating something beautiful I would be delighted to do that for you. My aim is to make it as uncomplicated as possible, leaving you to organise all the other exciting bits!! A bit of career history: I graduated from Art college where I

studied Art, History of Art, Photography and Pottery - all things I love to do! After travelling around Spain for a bit, I returned to my job as a graphic designer, working for a publishing company based in London. I went on to work with various publishers and subsequently I became Art Director for a series of children's books.

It’s the details that add that extra bit of interest…I do quite a few gatefold invitations and some of them work well as landscape format.

On this one my couple chose to have their garden flowers as watercolour on the inside flaps but you could also combine this with your wedding details.

I’m just about to illustrate a barn which works well on landscape! Alternatively I’ve also shown the entrance up close using a portrait gatefold, then the whole venue on the inside!

The choice is yours!…If this is something you may be thinking of for your wedding invitation please get in touch with Rachael.

I’m pretty booked up March, April and May but please enquire for mid May onwards.

One of my last invitations for 2023. Just need to tie the ribbon on and finish off my last invitation next week for two gorgeous weddings in 24/25!

Can’t believe another year has passed, I think it’s been my busiest yet and I’ve had some fab commissions which I’ve really enjoyed working on!

I’ll be wrapping up on December 18th, then back in the studio 3rd January 2024!

Just to mention we are due to move in February (no exact date yet), but any letterpress stationery will need to be printed by end of January. I’ve got to get the lovely letterpress shifted hopefully straight into it’s new home, which will be a shiny new garden studio🤞!

A massive thank you to everyone who has ordered stationery from me this year, it’s very much appreciated.

Looking forward to a Christmas break, then lots more fabulous weddings next year and beyond!

Gatefolds have definitely been popular this year. They can come in various sizes but mostly A5 works well to with venue illustrations and watercolours.

For extra lux, this invitation included a letterpress invitation inside, with a letterpress round tag printed with the family emblem in matt gold.

Swipe to see more gatefold ideas. I’m working on a beautiful family home at the moment which is landscape format, with watercolour flowers.

Our Story

Hello, I’m Rachael and am the designer and illustrator of South Cambridge based Flo and Burt Wedding Stationery. I design and illustrate Bespoke and Custom Wedding Stationery using high quality materials, which are put together lovingly with careful attention to detail ensuring a stylish look and finish I’m sure you and your guest will love! If you would like Bespoke Wedding Stationery I would be delighted to create something for you. I can illustrate your chosen venue and include two smaller detailed illustrations (such as table decorations or flowers). The design can fit your individual requirements and will be totally unique to you. It can include a framed illustration as a lasting keepsake. For the Custom Stationery each collection has an individual illustration and colour scheme that runs through the whole set. All collections have everything from Save the Date cards, Invitations and Reply cards through to Guest Info cards, Order of Service and On the Day Stationery, including Table Plans. The choice is yours to customise as you wish with ribbon, gem stones and colours to suit your big day palette. I am always happy to chat through any particular ideas you may have to make sure your wedding stationery is perfect for you. It’s entirely up to you how much of the Custom collection you wish to have, if you want just Invitations and Reply cards that’s fine, all I ask is a minimum order of 25. Prices for Invitations are from £1.50 and Reply cards from £1.00.
