September - sight change to our DAGs singing session!

Tuesday 19th September - 1-2pm @ The Street!

These are our Treats for September - all singing, all dancing!

This month includes a new regular activity for the Treats programme - Dance Light, lead by Clair Bella of Twilight Productions.

Clair describes the activity as "A unique low intensity but highly fun dance exercise class, set to the hits of the 60’s/70’s" and has designed Dance Light to be "All inclusive, all abilities, all welcome".

Scalby Songbirds started back in January 2018 - we’ve changed over the years and grown in strength ❤️

Anyone can join - we are taking a break over summer and will be back in rehearsals Thursday 12th September back at Scalby Methodist Church!

The Songbirds had an AMAZING rehearsal tonight - we ran through EVERYTHING for the showcase and it sounded great!! They’ve worked so hard since January to get the songs prepared and always put up with my “Smile!” Or “More energy AND smile”!

If you don’t want a spoiler of one of the songs we are performing on the night - don’t look at the picture in too much detail !! 💃🏼

We sing an array of pop, rock, musicals and even folk!

Looking forward to our Summer Concert in Scalby this Friday - another chance to hear the Staxton Singers perform Mamma Mia in four-part harmony as well as a variety of uplifting songs, plus solos and a rendition of Leave Her Johnny by the Staxton basses and tenors. Come along for an evening of song, fizz and canapes in beautiful St Laurence's Church.

WHO? Anyone with a voice and a love of Abba! No prior experience or musical know-how required

HOW MUCH? £10 for the day

Learn the notes of the hit musical with the Staxton Singers, musical director Robyn Keech and pianist Rebecca Wood.
