It’s just about two weeks off from the clocks going forward and leaping into the puddle of British Summer time ! If the weather warms a little, all those plants should burst forth with abundance if they haven’t drowned. It would appear that the daffodils are going to be spot on coinciding with Easter this time.

My apologies for forgetting to post the weekly menu on here, it is always updated on our website. Next weekend brings Mothering Sunday. The origins of Mothering Sunday are unclear, there are many theories, it has been celebrated in the UK since the Middle Ages, and was more based in religion and around the mother church. Mothering Sunday coincides with Laetare Sunday, also called Mid-Lent Sunday or Refreshment Sunday. It is always interesting how things evolve and change along the way. It is that time of year again, I saw my first snowdrops in flower last week, the daffodils and hyacinths are pushing their way up, not seen a crocus yet though which is unusual as ours usually can’t wait to get started then quickly get got by the cold and wet.
