Once upon a time there was a little girl whose nails were so badly bitten.
As she grew up she tried every stick on nail, every mobile nail tech and every preventative treatment known to man… nothing worked.
Her nails were so bitten that nothing stayed on and time and again she was left, hiding her hands in shame… until one day.

In 1996, she came across a salon that offered CND sculpted nails, she booked in and had hers done and they stayed put. She kept up regular maintenance and fell so in love with her new nails that she trained to become a CND nail technician herself.
To this day, her nails are still her pride and joy, people compliment her on her hands and she has even done a spot of hand modelling.
She has wonderful clients who have the same nail biting gene that she had, who look to her to make their hands as pretty or as perfect as hers and she has even worked on the nails of some very famous people too.

How do I know all of this, I hear you ask?
I know because that girl is me!

Don’t hide your hands, I’ve always, always seen worse but I can always, always make a difference.

Your hands, and your confidence will thank me for it!

We briefly came out of venue dressing retirement yesterday to provide a bonbon wheel for the christening of Evie, my friends new daughter.

“Choc” full of of all your retro favourites such as giant strawbs, drumstick lollies and sherbet dip dabs.
Needless to say it went down a treat.
The kids (and adults) loved it!

So, this weekend has seen the sale and handover of all of the venue dressing items that made up Alex Bell Styling.

It’s a happy time as we are excited for our upcoming projects, we still have a few hire items that we will showcase over the coming weeks, we will continue the dressmaking side of things and will concentrate on a new aspect - Sh’amazing Graze for all of your outside catering needs.

Pat and I would like to say a huge thank you to all of the venues, staff and associates that we have worked alongside over the years, to all of the people who began as our colleagues and turned in to our friends, to all of the suppliers that have never let us down, worked tirelessly to produce some of the best weddings and thrown our name in to the ring when couples have required services that we could provide.
To Christine and Pete Mulvanny, for everything, thank you.

To Kate at Willows flowers, for always managing my stress levels with chocolate and a brew, your friendship and support will always mean so much.

But last of all, I would like to thank our clients.

To every person who came in to our business and entrusted us with the most special day of their lives, who laughed with us, cried with us, drank gin with us and gave us a phenomenal business that makes me eternally proud to have been a part of… Thank you.

It’s the end of an era but not the end of us.
