Sea Ilfracombe Maritime Festival fundraiser Saturday 28th June at Hele Bay Pub

We need YOUR support.

The Sea Ilfracombe Maritime Festival returns for the 16th year over the weekend of the 30th & 31st August 2025.

The festival is FREE, run by 6 unpaid local volunteers and costs approx £20,000 a year to put on. This money comes from sponsorship, grants, donations and FUNDRAISERS.

This is where we need your help, firstly to spread the word and to come along to our Fundraiser on the 28th June at the Hele Bay Pub, secondly we are after some PRIZES FOR OUR RAFFLE and finally we are still after SPONSORS.

If you can help with the raffle or are interested in chatting about being a sponsor contact us via our FB page or by dropping us an e-mail [email protected]

We have loads of soon to be announced music and entertainment planned in for you over what will be a fantastic weekend.

Thanks for your support - The Sea Ilfracombe Crew

On Thursday this week (8th May), we will gather to celebrate end of the Second World War in Europe.

80 years ago it was a time of hope which sprang out of the sadness of loss for those who had sacrificed their lives for the cause of peace, justice and love,

We will gather to remember, to give thanks and to look forward in hope to a better world for all people, where all people may live in peace.

Everyone is most welcome to come along and take part.

On Sunday 11 May Ilfracombe people will once again be gathering on Capstone Hill to create a LIVING LETTERS photo as they have done many times over the years to commemorate special times in history.

This is for the 80th anniversary of VE Day and you will see the letters cut into the hill before then. We appreciate VE Day is the 8 May but many local people will be at work and so we have arranged this for the following Sunday to allow as many as possible to join us.

All are welcome to participate, locals, visitors, young and old!

Please arrive at around 11.45 on 11 May for a photo at 12 noon.

We look forward to seeing you!

Mark your calendar for 10 & 11 May 2025 when you will be able to immerse yourself in Ilfracombe’s vibrant artistic scene during the annual (and free!) Ilfracombe Art Traill 🌟

Explore the town’s Victorian streets and uncover paintings, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and more, all created by talented local artists and makers. With most venues just a short stroll from the High Street, it’s the perfect way to spend a creative weekend.

You’ll be able to grab an easy-to-follow map and plan your journey through quirky studios, surprising venues, and even some delightful tea and cake stops along the way. Meet the artists, chat about their inspirations, and maybe even take home a piece of Ilfracombe’s artistic magic. Don’t miss this chance to connect with the creative heart of North Devon! 🎨🖋️
