💐Meet the Maker💐

Hello! I wanted to say hi to new and existing followers so I thought I’d get involved in ,💐 a little later than originally planned!  

‘Why I became a Florist’ 

I became a florist initially 8 years ago as a hobby alongside working as a primary school teacher. I arranged artificial flowers for my own, as well as my friend’s wedding and along the way I got so much enjoyment, working with brides, advising on colour schemes, complementing flowers and adding a personal touch to their arrangements, so much so that the hobby quickly turned into a small business! I undertook floristry courses and knew I had found where I wanted to be, doing something that brings me and others joy 😍

As a child I was drawn to hands on art and craft activities, my mum was a primary school teacher and before and after school I loved to help create her classroom displays, as well as drawing and painting. One of my most memorable makes was a mini house completely made out of paper and sticky tape!

At the 2020 Chelsea Flower Show, the Queen chose lily of the valley as her favourite flower. The flower featured in Her Majesty's coronation bouquet and reportedly held special associations ever since.
Our thoughts are with the Royal family at this deeply sad time as the UK loses its longest reigning monarch.
