SUSTAINABLE WEDDING ALLIANCE SUMMIT ROUND UP ♻️

A week ago (where has the time gone?!) our business development mentor, Alice, attended the Sustainable Wedding Alliance summit - a truly inspiring and thought-provoking event! It was incredible to connect with like-minded businesses, share ideas, and explore ways to create a more sustainable future for the wedding industry.

At Bridal Reloved, we’re passionate about redefining the wedding dress journey with sustainability at its heart. By embracing preloved and ex-sample dresses, we aim to slow down fast-paced production and reduce the environmental impact of the bridal industry.

We believe in collaboration over competition, and by working together, we can help couples make more sustainable choices for their wedding day. As CEO and Founder of Sustainable Wedding Alliance, Michelle Miles, says, “It’s progress over perfection” We’re proud to have committed to their membership and are now working towards accreditation!

It was fantastic to see two of our franchises there as well - Bridal Reloved Morpeth and Bridal Reloved Caistor 💚

Alice was also honoured to present the award for Sustainable Supply Chain, where founder of Bridal Reloved, Kate was a judge. Huge congratulations to Jacqueline & Edward, the well-deserving winners!

🌿SUSTAINABLE WEDDING ALLIANCE🌿

I was fortunate enough to attend the summit in London at last week.

It was so wonderful to be amongst like-minded business owners within the wedding industry at such a thought provoking and inspirational event, sharing ideas and making plans towards a sustainable future.

Being a sustainable business is something that has always been at the forefront of my mind when it comes to decision making.
We must meet the needs of the present generations without compromising the planet for future generations to come.

I am a believer of collaboration and community over competition within business, and know that together we can make the industry one where couples can make more sustainable choices for their wedding day.

Robert Swan famously said "The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it".
The small things each of us do every day to create a more sustainable planet all add up and make a difference.

Buying a beautiful off the peg preloved dress is just one way to be more sustainable within your wedding choices. Most of these dresses haven't even been worn at all.

I'm always happy to talk about our sustainability mission, so if you are interested please just ask.

Starting off with Bridal Reloved Dorchester Sam's favourite Dress is this beautiful lace fit to flare gown by Zavana.

This is Sam's favourite because she really likes the details on the straps and the plunging neckline. She also loves the intricate details on the bottom of the gown and the train.

Was originally £2000 now selling in the Dorchester boutique for only £1000!!!

Sustainable Saturday!

All Bridal Reloved boutiques combined, in 2024 have managed to save the weight of 6 cars in fabric!

That works out to be 8,400kg of fabric that would have been thrown away!

Our goal this year is to save even more! ♻
