If any of you came to our Christmas parties back in the day you will have been entertained by Tom Tomek Basista a friend of the family who has done amazing things with young people from difficult backgrounds. Not only was he a brilliant artist but he had the kindest heart, and we are so grateful that he wasn’t too cool to do our “old folk” parties for us. Tom passed away very recently at a London hospital from complications associated with Covid. He leaves behind his beautiful wife and young family (his daughter born in October last year). I can’t imagine the pain they are going through … we want to help. So please please even if it’s just the price of a coffee, consider donating to this family. He gave so much of his time, free, to help so many and we would like to honour and thank him by helping his family just has he has helped so many. See my earlier post with his go fund me page. Thank you 🙏

Oh my how wedding fashion changes…. This is me in the middle looking slightly tired/bored aged about 5 at my uncle Ray’s wedding (sorry uncle Ray!) sometime in the seventies. Yellow flowers were all the rage - I was a bridesmaid 3 times in my youth and all 3 had yellow included. My Aunty Denene had a fully wired bouquet of red … and yellow (obvs) roses. Who knew I’d be on the design end of this stuff many years later?! The old girls in tan tights and pretty good legs 😆 and of course the fur… that would not do at all these days. Happy Sunday everyone 🥰🌺🌺

I’d like to buy my wife some flower he said…. Well most people are afraid to buy a florist flowers and I understand why… the best thing to do is keep it really simple. A bunch of daffodils, anemones or similar will always be so appreciated. This time though I picked something I can’t buy locally - Prince Jardiniere scented roses. And they are so delightful, and remind me of my teacher, my guru, my dear friend big thank you to my husband for these beauties ❤️
