We are delighted to have Kim Gordon joining us on Woodsies Main Stage.

Since co-founding the seminal Sonic Youth in the early 80’s, Gordon has remained at the nexus of music, art and (more recently) books and film. In 2019, Kim Gordon’s debut album No Home Record received wide-ranging critical acclaim, including from The New York Times ("The art star queen of New York cool”), The Guardian (“brilliantly weds noise textures to pop dynamics”), Sunday Times ‘Album Of The Week’ (“brutally good), Vogue (“immediate, loose, and liberated....as ferocious as she’s ever been”), and Pitchfork ‘Best New Music’("thrilling solo debut lives at the vanguard of sound and performance”). Earlier this year, Kim Gordon released her second solo album The Collective, recorded in Gordon’s native Los Angeles also to critical acclaim with the New Yorker describing her as a “lifelong radical still at the peak of her powers.”

Don’t miss her on Sunday at 18:30 - 19:30.

KMRU is a Nairobi-born, Berlin-based sound artist whose work is grounded on the discourse of field recording, noise, and sound art. KMRU has carved out a serious and definitive space on the list of essential authors in ambient-experimental music-one of the most prolific and innovative artists in his field. His work posits expanded listening cultures of sonic thoughts and sound practices, a proposition to consider and reflect on auditory cultures beyond the norms. Experience his work on the Tree Stage at Glastonbury on Friday night.

Journey through particle physics, astronomy and the darkness at the heart of our galaxy with extraordinary astrophysical and cosmological visual displays.

Don't miss Gossip at Woodsies Main Stage on Saturday.

Returning with Real Power, pioneering Northwest trio Gossip’s first album since 2012, Beth Ditto, Nathan Howdeshell and Hannah Blilie are back together and reunited with super producer Rick Rubin, who helmed their 2009 opus Music For Men. The result is a comeback of magnum force that celebrates the galvanizing might of music, the joy of creative expression, and the power of chosen family in the aftermath of collective and personal trauma.

“When we began, so much about Gossip was about running away—that was always in the music,” says Ditto. “We survived. We came from nothing, and we got the f**k out of there. And to be here 20 years later and still making music together is just incredible.”

“What a way to come back after years of being gone: to come back strong and with purpose and so much joy and gratitude, but also getting out a lot of that f**k-the-world kind of energy,” says drummer Hannah Blille.

We can’t wait!

An exciting teaser of the experience to come!

Saturday night at Midnight on the Tree Stage… an Immersive Album Listening Experience…

‘I wanted to give people an opportunity to listen collectively to this specially created immersive version, to really feel this music as it was intended to be fest, before anyone has heart it’ (Jon Hopkins on the first listening experience at the ICA)

The results of Jon Hopkins joyful enterprise in sonic divination will be available for everyone to experience at the Tree Stage in the Woodsies area.

Some 2 months out from its official release, audiences are being given the opportunity to experience Jon Hopkins’ forthcoming album RITUAL (Domino) in its entirety at The Tree Stage.

The kinetic counterpart to Jon’s most recent release, the celebrated innerspace odyssey Music For Psychedelic Therapy, the new work is a single track, 41-minute ceremonial epic, built from cavernous subs, hypnotic drumming and transcendent melodic interplay. Tense, immersive and ultimately triumphant, it is a culmination of themes explored throughout his 22-year career.
