A little love for our little garden that has provided us with so much for our events-posies, edible garnishes, veggie feasts, & so many beautiful varieties that you just can’t buy. My favourite way to start the day of any event is to be out in the garden early picking when the plants are super fresh & then using them in our dishes & decorations. Even now that the growing season has slowed down there is always something lovely to pick. Pick a posy this weekend!

Our last garden party was an Italianate table feast. As summer has slipped away we were so happy to enjoy it one last time under amazing in a beautiful private garden, serving our bespoke menu:

Cherry carnival cocktails to start

Wild mushroom arancini with smoked garlic aioli
Whole Burrata with preserved lemon & shredded mint
Vegetable carpaccio with walnuts, ricotta & olive oil
Sussex Woolbeding Estate Beef rump carpaccio with Parmesan shavings & salmoriglio
Chargrilled artichoke hearts with lemon, olives, broad beans & slivered almonds
Radicchio, frisée, chicory, orange & pomegranate salad
Whole grilled sea bream with roasted tomatoes & sauce vièrge
Chargrilled South Downs rosemary-marinated leg of lamb with salsa verde
Roasted aubergine & oregano polpette
Crispy roast potatoes with garlic & herbs
Fresh focaccia
Tonka bean panna cotta with chargrilled peaches & brown sugar
Syrupy lemon polenta cake, rose petals & pistachios

❤️a two course vegetarian table feast featuring 44 plants
🧡a three course dinner with 31 plants along with a small amount of good quality meat & seafood.
💛We love to use a diverse & large range of whole foods including fruit, veg, grains, pulses, fresh herbs & spices in our dishes for extra colour, flavour & nutrition (yes, lots of prep & chopping to do!)
💚yummy & good for your tummy
💙0% waste when scraps go in the compost & leftovers get fed to the resident chickens & pigs in their beautiful woodland home

We’ve enjoyed doing many dinner parties in private houses & holiday homes recently. We have set menus but rarely do the same one as we flex to what is in season & what our clients’ preferences are. Often if there are children & lots of dietaries a more flexitarian approach is the best! And the kitchen is left clean & tidy afterwards of course 💛

Celebrating our new kitchen with some Paloma Cocktails (rather a lot of tequila received for Christmas thanks everyone!)
The sun comes out when you mix this- just tequila, fresh lime, pinch of salt & grapefruit soda or juice with soda water & a dash of agave syrup. No blue Monday here. Happy January!

Coming up for air…such a busy year forgive us for being anti-social. Non-stop weddings, dinners, shoots & crew catering, then a major move from our seaside base to a new one in the magical woods of Midhurst. Apart from some Christmas parties we are taking a breather to forage, enjoy the fire and dream up new menus for next year’s parties!
