Weâre coming into spring, although it doesnât feel like it with this weather recently, but we are. Trees are starting to blossom and bulbs are beginning to bloom.
This time of year always feels like the time to prepare for the season ahead. We have been stockpiling film and purchasing new equipment so that we continue to be ahead of the curve for all of our upcoming weddings.

Film photography has always plucked at our heart strings⌠the beauty it can create is profound, but the process is mesmerising.
Everything is mechanical, the clicks and clacks of tiny gears moving to open the shutter and capture the photons before it onto light sensitive celluloid.
From the very first time my grandfather gave his little film camera I was obsessed. Hooked, I was hooked into a world I did not know then would become my life.
That little Olympus still comes to weddings with us, 50 years since its creation it is still capturing light, moments, emotion.

A little about us..
We are Harry and Annie, and we run Stories From Eros. In September of 2023 we got married after being together for 11 years since finishing school đ¤
We live together in Nottinghamshire Countryside with our big black chow chow, Paddy đž
Our focus has always been to create timeless and true photography and films that you will be able to pass on to generations to come as heirlooms.
We are heavily influenced by the impressionist art like that of Monet and the romanticism of Turner. We try to gel this love of art with contemporary photography which is why we rely so heavily on our medium format film cameras during a wedding đď¸
As a married couple we understand the importance of creating beautiful images, but equal to that is also the importance of spending your wedding day with your loved ones and allowing you time to enjoy the day that unravels before you.

We are one of very few photography studios in the UK that still use the art of film photography. The camera is slow and difficult to use in comparison to modern cameras, but we wouldnât have it any other way.
We use a mix of 35mm and 120mm film cameras to create a completely unique and timeless aesthetic. Soft creamy highlights, sharp details, and rich, yet muted colours.
Shooting on film is difficult to learn as it is completely intuitive. There is no way to check your photographs after you have taken them and there is no way of being sure that you definitely nailed the focus.
It takes years of practice and dedication to get right, but once you do, the results are one of a kind.

11 YEARS! Today marks the day we have been together for 11 years!
And now, itâs been three weeks since we were married đ¤
And here is a glimpse into our wedding on film đď¸
Our two day celebration began at a little church not far from Stamford which has seen the weddings and funerals of Annieâs family for three generations.
Then onto where and created the most incredible room for our intimate friends and family, that completely transported them into a world of artistry that they (and we) had never seen before. (We will share this in the future).
The following day we celebrated with more family and friends.
We read our vows to one another under the the most beautiful display of flowers we have ever seen.
And then after an afternoon of heartfelt speeches and portraits with we danced and sang the evening away.
We are so over the moon with photographs of us, they have completely blown us away. Film is magical but under your control Katie, these are something else. We will be forever grateful đ¤

Helen & Max's Wedding Film Our wedding films are focused on encapsulating your day in a short but cinematic film. We like to make our around 8 minutes long, we find this is the best time to keep them both full, whilst also being engaging. We use a number of cinematic 4K cameras to shoot our films, as well as a drone and professional audio equipment which we hide on speakers to capture crisp and clear sound. We are so happy to share James & Ellieâs wedding short. Their wedding, set upon the stunning grounds of @blake_hall_weddings was so touching and personal.
