Hi I’m Sam,

I’m a wedding planner and celebrant specialising in bespoke weddings, vow renewals and naming ceremonies in Berkshire, Surrey and Buckinghamshire.

My mission is to make wedding ceremonies fun, personal & unique, one ceremony at a time. I’m on a mission to empower couples to create memorable wedding days by escaping the restrictions of a dull civil wedding. I want to make wedding ceremonies fun, personal and unique, one ceremony at a time. I do this by weaving your unique love story into a heartfelt, emotional ceremony filled with love and la

ughter, and injected with both your personalities. There will be no dreary, monotonous, silence filled ceremonies on my watch! I leave your guests laughing out loud, understanding you more as a couple, and asking how long we have been friends. Join me on this journey to make your unforgettable ceremony individually unique to you, and proudly stand out from the crowd. Additionally, as I am also a wedding planner it is possible for me to advise on all aspects of the wedding and order of the day. I’m able to do On the Day Coordination, conduct the ceremony and then go back to coordinating the day, which makes SDCelebrations pretty unusual. 🩷Day 5 of World Celebrants Week is all about our celebrant inspiration.

💜What inspires me about the celebrant community as a whole is the community over competition vibe.

🩷I have a number of celebrants local to me who I am happy to recommend if I am not available to conduct a wedding, and who I know will do an excellent job.

⚡️What I love most about being a celebrant is showing couples how amazing a celebrant wedding ceremony can be.

⚡️How it will set the vibe for the whole day and make it memorable for all the right reasons. Whilst encouraging them to shout about their love from the rooftops in whatever way is meaningful to them.

⚡️You won’t get a stuffy, boring and unpersonalised ceremony from me, as I can’t wait to sprinkle some magic into your wedding!

⚡️And yes if you want to include animals in your ceremony I am ALL for it! (In this case I even suggested it and made little ring bags for the alpaca ring bearers!🤣)

⚡️I really am full of all sorts of creative ideas!

💜Today is the first day of World Celebrants Week 🎉, and as it’s been a while since my last intro here are a few fun facts about me.

⚡️ I am allergic to coffee, and highly sensitive to caffeine (not ideal considering the long shifts I work).

💜I have travelled to 44 countries (and transferred through another 3 but not stayed the night so that doesn’t count in the tally! 😊)

⚡️I’ve done a two-day residential fine dining training course with “First dates” Fred Sirex.

💜I’ve done 2 tandem skydives in Australia, both landing on the beach.

⚡️I’ve lived in the Republic of Ireland, Wales and Australia.

💜I was once Princess Anne’s private waitress at an event.

⚡️I’m an advanced PADI certified diver and have dived in 5 countries (Oz, NZ, Thailand, Cyprus, Egypt).

💜Im obsessed with anything chocolate orange flavoured.

⚡️I’m vowel dyslexic.

💜Over 20 children call me “Auntie Sam” and none of them are blood relations. 🥰

⚡️I’ve had a Prince within the guests of a ceremony I conducted (thankfully I didn’t find that out until post ceremony)!

💜I’m against single use plastics and carry reusable straws everywhere I go.

⚡️I am obsessed with matcha green tea in every form.

💜Being around the sound of running water is my happy place (think more waves cashing on the beach, or a waterfall as opposed to a dripping tap! 🤣).

⚡️I’m a keen photographer and however I’m involved in your wedding I will send you BTS photos and videos from the day afterwards.

🥂Happy 3rd Anniversary to this fab couple.

🥂Their stunning wedding was full to the brim with personal, classy and beautiful touches.

🥂It really was quite the day, and over the past few years it has been a joy to watch their family grow (although I imagine there is a little less white around now!)

💜Happy 2nd Anniversary to these cuties 🥂

💜Such a pleasure to conduct a ceremony for a couple who were happy to embrace so many unique and personal elements into their wedding ceremony.

💜Only with an independent celebrant ceremony can you include a mid ceremony couples quiz, play rock / paper /scissors to choose who says their vows first, and finish off the ceremony doing shots of apple sours!

💜There are certainly no boring ceremonies on my watch!

💜It’s your wedding ceremony, so why not add your personality into it!

💜You are most likely adding it into all other parts of your wedding day, so don’t miss out on the most important part of the day too!

💜By booking me as a celebrant we get to know each other, and once I know your personalities I can suggest additions that we can add into your ceremony.

💜I knew how much this couple love a selfie, so it was only right that the first selfie they took on their wedding day was actually during the wedding ceremony!

💜I hid one of their phones within the floral arch at the top of the aisle and then brought it out at the end of the ceremony so they could get the shot.

🩵Happy 1st Anniversary K and T who I had the pleasure of marrying last year on a beautiful September’s day.

🩵Their ceremony brought their family and friends along through the journey of their love story, and more than one happy tear was shed amongst the assembled guests.

🩵As I was also K and T’s mini coordinator I arrived 3 hours before the ceremony to lay out their place cards and personal items. Then after the ceremony I repurposed their ceremony flowers and welcome display.

🩵Sometimes you just need a little bit of extra support on your wedding day which I am more than happy to provide.

🩵Always wonderful to work with the fab .photo who took this photo, and to listen to the amazing who played throughout the day.
