Special guests Tim Dry

Tim Dry is a writer, mime, actor, musician and photographic artist.

In 1980 Tim formed a mime/music duo called TIK & TOK with another mime artist. As well as pioneering Robotic movement as an art form they released 5 singles and an album Intolerance on the Survival Records label. The second single Cool Running got to number 69 in the charts. They were special guests on Gary Numan's comeback tour of the UK 'Warriors' in Autumn 1983, and amongst their 26 TV appearances are The Royal Variety Show 1983, The Tube, The Kenny Everett Show, Cliff! and The Leo Sayer Show with Gary Numan.

In the early '80s Tim had two featured roles in Return Of The Jedi (Star Wars Episode VI),

namely J'Quille the Whiphid and a Mon Calamari Officer. He played The Alien in the cult sci fi/horror

XTRO in 1982. He has also been featured in over 90 TV Commercials worldwide since 1987,

numerous TV shows, feature films and stage plays. Tim's TV appearances include Father Ted, The

Bill, Eastenders, The 10th Kingdom (Cable TV series) Casualty, Lenny Henry In Dreams and Goodbye

Mr Steadman. Tim played the leads in Steven Berkoff's Harry's Christmas and Moliere's School For

Wives on the London Stage. His film roles include the title role in the comedy/horror short SON OF

Nosferatu, Entourage 7 in Steven Berkoff's Decadence, The Death Provider in Le Accelerator and

Melvyn in the short Pier Pressure. 2022 saw Tim as Ezekiel Petrov in Dark Ditties Presents: Dad.

Tim is the author of two published books of memoirs: Falling Upwards-Scenes From A life and Continuum - The Star Wars Phenomenon As Experienced From The Inside. Black Shuck Books released a third edition of his first novella, entitled Ricochet in February 2020, so far it has garnered 30 glowing reviews on Amazon. He also has short stories in ten Horror anthologies. Tim has written for Film Review, Forbes Magazine and Film Rage magazine. He wrote the screenplay for Thomas Eikrem's forthcoming horror movie Detroit Rising.

Special guests Hugh Spight

In 1982 Hugh Spight spent six weeks at Elstree Studios filming in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. But he believes his chance at fame was shot down when his name was misspelled during the credits, renaming him Hugh Spirit.

Spight played several roles in the film - a Gamorrian , and a character called Prune face.

Originally trained in ballet, and after having a 20 year career as a dancer,which included working with some of the top companies in the UK and Europe .Hugh made it on to the Star Wars set at Elstree studios after he was spotted next door on the set of Jim Henson's movie The Dark Crystal, where he developed and performed several leading characters whilst working as a movement Coordinator on full body puppets

In “Star Wars “Hugh’s biggest role is as the Gamorrian guard who escorts Hans Solo into captivity.( He dines out on the fact, that he had a fight with Harrison Ford … and won!)

He said: "We were shooting in Jabba’s Palace. those scenes I was the one who had my hand on the shoulder of Harrison Ford. "We had to take him down to the dungeon.''He put up quite a fight, in fact, one guard (Swee Lim)fell down the stairs and refused to do the shot,so Simon Williamson took his place.

Hugh also portrayed several roles in Classic Doctor Who, including the iconic black Dalek in the Seventh Doctor story Remembrance of the Daleks with Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred.

'Standing at over 7 feet tall, Ross Sambridge has been lucky enough to use his height to portray several characters in the world of film and television. Including using his body for Supreme leader snoke in Star Wars The Last Jedi and as a Wookiee in SOLO A Star Wars story. Ross has also had roles in Artemis Fowl, Breathe and True Horror and more. Ross is looking forward to meeting everyone at the Back to the Past event'

Lee Bradley is a UK based freelance illustrator that works within the comics industry. He has worked on a variety of comic book properties including Spider-man, Transformers, Transformers Animated, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & the Transformers How-to-Draw Guide.

Lee works on all aspects of comic book illustration in various roles from penciler, inker to colourist. He has worked as an illustrator on a variety of different MARVEL products from Sketch Card series such as Retro MARVEL, MARVELS Greatest Battles, Women of MARVEL, AVENGERS Age of Ultron & the Marvel Masterwork's Card Series.

Special guests simon Williamson

Simon J. Williamson was one of the UK's leading creature and movement performers in the 1980s, working with Jim Henson, Frank Oz and George Lucas on big-budget films. In "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi”, he played Jabba's famous blue keyboard player Max Rebo, and he also operated the eyes of Nien Nunb. He also played several Gamorrean guards, including Jubnuk, who gets eaten by The Rancor. He also played in Jim Henson and Frank Oz’s "Dark Crystal” and Frank Oz’s "Little Shop of Horrors". Outside of the creature world, Simon has appeared in the West End Theatre, TV series and has voiced many audiobooks. He has also moved behind the camera to write and direct short films, with a couple of feature films and television projects in development

Elen Thomas is a Welsh actress, performer and makeup artist based in Cardiff. She holds a unique position in Dr Who history as "The first female monster to perform on Dr Who (new era)" in her roll as The Clockwork Woman in 'The Girl In The Fire Place' (S2). As well as this, Elen Thomas has also appeared as an Auton in 'Rose' (S1Ep1) A Weeping Angel in 'Blink' (S3) A Future kind in 'Utopia' (S3) and she also appeared briefly in (S5) 'Vasta Nerada'. It was her roll as a Weeping Angel in 'Blink' which fueled a desire to branch out to Hair & Make up. Elen Thomas has since worked as a hair & makeup artist on many shows including: Black Widow, Ironclad, The Witcher, Bridgerton, The Crown and Poldark.
