From the phrase breken fast "to break one's fast, end abstinence from food" First Known use was in the 15th century. Wonder what they ate back then?

My breakfast this morning was sourdough bread laiden with fresh ginger, turmeric and garlic, sprinkled with a little cayenne pepper... antioxidant and anti inflammatory heaven.... yum

Well it's a Scandinavian culture....
In the 16th century, the Swedes introduced the smorgåsbord, a small side table with snacks and drinks served before a meal. The Finns also had a similar table called the brännvinsbord, which served finger foods and spirits. The smorgåsbord came to the United States in 1939 during the World Fair in New York.

❤️ Love really does conquer all ❤️

I first met Graham and Jennette by zoom, they were getting married in a church near me and had been let down by their caterer, just 3 weeks before their Wedding. Jennette is Canadian, so they were both still in Canada making arrangements for her move to England.

Their love story, moved me to tears, they met virtually during covid and both knew it was love at first sight. The rest is history, we served a beautiful Afternoon Tea, with our welcome drinks package. Jennette looked absolutely radiant in her dress.

The happy couple danced to Perfect by Ed Sheeran, it really was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to in every way.

Afternoon Tea Brought To You

How many times have we all wished that we could see what is round the corner? My story begins 4 years ago when I was diagnosed with cancer. Two surgeries later and part way through chemo I found myself after 24 years loyal service without a job. This left me feeling very low and without my family and friends support I don’t know how I would have got through all my treatment. My period of time recuperating reaffirmed my love of baking. On a day where I felt a bit better I would make some treats for my family and friends. I have always wanted to set up a catering business, things have always got in the way and when my treatment finished I decided why not! I love home baking with fresh and good quality ingredients. Having worked in customer service for 30 years, I love getting to know people and if I can help arrange an event for someone to celebrate or just to get together with family and friends this is what I do best. Lovely food served on vintage crockery and everything is brought to you. All homemade food, table set ready with vintage china, fresh flowers on the table, tea and coffee served and I even do all the washing up. Leaving you to just relax and enjoy the tea party.
