We are incredibly honored to be part of Ceinwen and Brendan's wedding at Madame Fù. This beautiful venue perfectly embodied their unique "East meets West" love story. Ceinwen, born and raised in Hong Kong, and Brendan, from Melbourne but of HK Chinese heritage, chose this spot to celebrate their connection to Hong Kong and each other.

This week marks the annual sakura season in Japan, reminiscent of a few years ago when I ventured to Kyoto for a pre-wedding photoshoot. Similar to this year, the blossoms seemed to bloom a bit later. While the iconic Somei Yoshino sakura had yet to fully bloom, other varieties, like the weeping cherry blossoms, graced the city with their beauty a week or two earlier.

Back then, I discovered the weeping cherry blossoms in Kyoto Imperial Palace Gardens, which were in full bloom. It was our first and only time capturing photos there with the couple. Compared to other popular sakura spots in Kyoto, the crowds were relatively sparse, and the unique beauty of the weeping cherry blossoms was simply breathtaking. Encountering the full bloom of sakura is truly a matter of fate, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. 🌸💖
